Severus when...
One of the conditions of Severus spying on the Dark Lord for the Order was that he was not permitted to make contact with you. Seeing you reminded him too much of what he had to lose if Voldemort found out what he was doing. And so he was restricted to watching you from afar, checking with other Order members on your well-being whenever he could.
