As I watched Cassie and Aaron act out the 'Time Warp' scene, so badly that they actually made the actors look decent, I couldn't help but regret my decision to spend next Saturday in a room with Jason. I know it sounds like I am making a big deal out of nothing, but this guy has made my life miserable every chance he could.
Two years ago when we dissected frogs in Science, Jason and I were partnered up, he decided it would be a bowl full of laughs to sever the legs and later hide them in my sandwhich at lunch when I wasn't looking. Don't worry, no actual frog limb made it to my mouth, thank god Cassie had seen him and stopped me before the frog leg sandwich reached my lips. But still to this day I can't bring myself to eat a ham and cheese sandwhich.
"Hey come on! You need more then two freeks to Time Warp." Aaron yelled as he grabed me by the arm, yanking me between them.
"No way am I joining what you two think is Time Warping!" I said laughing as I sagged back into the couch.
Cassie fell in beside me. "Whats up? You've been thinking awfully hard over here."
"I'm contemplating my safety next Saturday. " I snorted. Yup that's right I snort, deal with it.
"Oh come on he's not that bad." Aaron rolled his eyes.
"Do not defend him! Don't you remember when he put peanutbutter in her hair before we went to volunteer at the humansosioty? Those dogs wouldn't leave her alone." Cassie shot back in defense. "You know what Aaron this is girl talk so why don't you go order the pizza."
I don't know how she gets away with ordering him around, but she does. Aaron just smirked and left the room.
"He hasn't done anything this year, maybe he is finally growing up?" She said, tearing her eyes away from Aaron's back. As demanding and pushy as she was, she had a huge soft spot when it came to Aaron. Not many people know that based on her actions, but its there.
"This Saturday gives him the perfect opportunity." I countered.
"Like you said, you don't have a choice if you want to find out who your sexy valentine stalker is."
"Ugh" I groaned as I leaned my head back into the sofa. "This mystery guy better be worth the torture I am bound to endure."
After inhaling 4 large pepperoni and mushroom pizzas, played 6 games of Halo -which I totally kicked butt!-, it was 3:30am and we were spent. Aaron of course had left around 11pm, Cassie's parents adored him but the 'no boys' overnight rule still stands.
Cassie and I were close to passing out as we lie in her bed, watching the end of Holiday.
"So what's the plan tomorrow?" She yawned.
"Well I gotta work."
"What I thought you had this Saturday off?"
"I did but I had to switch so I could play detective next Saturday." I winked at her. "I wish you could help me, I don't want to be stuck with just Jason and Mr. Ryan all day."
"Hey you signed up for this, there is no way I am waisting one of my Saturday s working with a teacher. Though I wouldn't mind being in a room with Jason..." She said nudging me.
"And....that would be the end of our conversation. Goodnight Cas." I grumbled as I rolled over.
