39. It was like you flew

"I know... I heard" he nodded his head. "I guess that's why I'm here" he added.

"Was it by chance a private conversation?" she asked.

"Maybe" he smiled, Spencer and Harry both chuckled.

"Oh Harry" she shook her head, wrapping an arm around him.

"I worry about you" Harry whispered.

"You don't need to" she chuckled, rubbing his shoulder. "I worry about you too though" she smiled.

"Stealing my girlfriend, Potter?" Fred joked, walking up to them.

"She's not your girlfriend" he chuckled.

"Yeah?" Fred asked, forming a snowball and throwing it at him.

"Fred!" Spencer exclaimed, "Stop" she chuckled. "We have to go in soon" she added as she took snow off Harry's and her face.

"Let that be a lesson" Fred pointed at Harry laughing.

"C'mon Harry" she shook her head, standing up and lending him a hand.

Harry got up, forming a snowball of his own and throwing it to Fred.

Spencer chuckled before telling Fred to be the bigger person and drop the snow in his hand.

"I hate you" he muttered before dropping the snow and smirking.

"Let's go eat yeah?" she asked Harry.

"Mmh" he nodded.

"So you can't drive" Fred chuckled as she walked towards him.

Spencer smirked before shoving him.

"I was just nervous" she shook her head.

Fred smiled before wrapping his arm around Spencer. "It's okay" he said, kissing her head.

"I know it is" she shook her head, walking into the Burrow.

"You should take the apparition class with George and I next semester" Fred offered.

"I am- it's just," she shook her head, "I want to learn how to drive" she shrugged.

"Spencer grab the plates please" Molly asked.

"Sure thing" she replied.

Once they sat down and ate dinner, Arthur spoke about his day. Then asked both Harry and Spencer questions, intrigued by their answers.

When they finished, Spencer went up to her room. She changed into Remus' pull over and stared at the ceiling.

She was taken out of her thoughts by a knock at her door.

"Come in" Spencer said as she sat up.

"Hi" Arthur whispered as he walked to the corner of her bed.

"Hey" Spencer replied.

"I just wanted to let you know that I'm proud of you for trying out the car today" he smiled.

"Thanks" she smiled in return.

"Goodnight" he said before kissing her forehead.

"Goodnight" she smiled as she saw him leave.

As it got closer to Christmas, they planned for a day to go ice skating. Deciding for Molly and Arthur to have the house for themselves, they thought it best to go after dinner.
