"Another pretty dendrobium blue orchids, miss. Your boyfriend seems pretty devoted." said the delivery man as she accepted the bouquet.

"He sure is." Ruby mumbled sarcastically since she's not in a relationship at the moment so the identity of the sender of these flowers is a mystery to her.

"Let's read the card." Guinevere took the card tucked among the flowers and read the message aloud for her to hear.

"Roses are red, violets are blue. There's no one in the world more radiant than you. Wow, cheesy but enough to make your kitty throb." Ruby only rolled her eyes at her friend's comment.

"It's nothing but a simple crush. I'm sure it's going to end soon. Plus he's not even making any serious moves. I mean, he doesn't even sign his name or anything. Soon enough it's going to stop."

"That's what you said a month ago but you still get flowers every day. I was wondering if you were going to start a flower shop with all these flowers he's been giving you. You know I'm fairly sure that it's this X-borg guy. Haven't you noticed that you only receive the flowers right after he comes in? That must be something, right? Plus he looks very interested in you. He's had at least fifty longing glances at you since he entered."

"Oh, stop it. It's probably because no one's been serving him anything since he came here, much less taking his order. I really need to hire more people. Wait for a moment, I will take his order." Ruby stood from her chair to walk over to where X-borg had taken his place.

"I apologize for the tardiness of our service. I'm sure you can understand how hectic things are. In place of my waitresses, can I take your orders, sir." she said politely with the false smile she had mastered.

"It's no big deal. I'll just have your famous espresso and a slice of the cake you just made and another as well for take out."

"Of course." Ruby left to prepare his order. Guinevere gave her a thumbs-up as she strode to the kitchen.

X-borg hacked into the CCTV system of Ruby's coffee shop, it was a fairly simple task to his experienced mind. He tapped on the frame that provides the best view of the maiden and followed every interaction she had with her employees.

It's been three months since they met. No one has ever intrigued him as much as she does. She is elegant, sassy, and independent. It was not only her beauty that captured his interest but also her personality. She is maternal yet calculating, she's generous but also vengeful.

To him, she's an enigma through and through. A mesmerizing creature of paradox and beauty. And so he followed her, stalked her, and gathered every bit of information he could find about her including her former lovers, her type, her one nightstand partners, and even the porn that she watches to get off.

He wouldn't call himself in love. He doesn't even know if he's capable of such intimate affections but one thing's for sure: he wants to possess her. And tonight will be the night where he set things in motion.

His phone pinged.

Ruby had sent a message to one of her friends. He opened his phone to track her conversations and saw her sending lewd pictures to Alucard, one of her many taken flings. For some reason, Ruby enjoys meddling with other people's relationships. In the three months that he's observed her, she has taken at least six lovers who are already taken and Alucard seems to be her favorite. All her best photos are sent to him first.

"Here you go. Please enjoy your meal." a waitress said as she served his food.

"Oh, thanks." he mumbled with a little bit of disappointment that it was not Ruby who served him.
