Thursday was the day ZGDX had a match against Team Lan.

Team Lan was a veteran team with experienced players. Among their five players, even the newest one had been with the team for two and a half seasons already. They were famous for their strong ability to execute their game plan effectively and they had maintained their position in the major league because of that. Their ability to execute was always the talk of the fans. Though because the skill level of each individual player wasn’t strong, they were not one of the top teams in the league but kept at the mid to lower end among all the major league teams. But because of the team’s cohesiveness and its extremely low error rate, it wasn’t rare for a top team to lose a match in their hands.

Many game analysts would give team Lan positive reviews whenever they spoke about the team. They would say that the team was like the major league’s quality inspector. The actual status of any strong team would be revealed after a match with Lan. Some teams didn’t seem to have any shortcomings in their matches until they went against Lan. Then viewers would find that those teams hadn’t been playing like a team in earlier games; they had won the other games on the back of one strong player who carried the game for the whole team.

Commentator B: Hahahahaha, during the first round of the in-group match, ZGDX was relying on their advantage during the laning phase with their two carries forced to carry the game and defeated Lan. Do you think ZGDX will do the same today?

Commentator A: That won’t do. The summer season is nearing its end and the world tournament is right in front of us. The Koreans team: TAT, OP, and RP will all be there and every single one of their players are the best of the best. By that time, it’ll be unrealistic to expect ZGDX will be able to defeat any of those teams just by gaining an advantages during the laning phase. To be honest, I think everyone knows by now that ZGDX will be, for sure, going to the world tournament this time.

Commentator B: Hee hee hee!

Commentator A: What are you giggling about!

Commentator B: I’m laughing at you being an old ZGDX fanboy.

Commentator A: It’s not that. Is there anything wrong with what I just said---Tell me, ZGDX fans sitting down there, is there any problem saying that one of three spots for the world tournament will be ZGDX’s?

The audience burst into laughter and called out in unison: “No problem!”

Commentator A: Right, see, no problem. If there’s no problem saying that, then I’ll continue. As one of the teams that is certain to go on to the world tournament, I think ZGDX can’t set its goal as simply as winning one in-group match. They really need to seriously consider the question of competing at the world tournament. This year it’s not just the Korean region, I heard it’s tough competition over in the Taiwan region as well.

Commentator B: Didn’t you send messages to me before to discuss how ZGDX was changing the strategies in their games.bI checked their lineup this afternoon, well, you don’t need me to tell you all. ZGDX’s players are sitting at the competition area already. We can see that it’s still Lu who’s replaced Smiling for today’s match. Then, can I make the assumption that in their new gaming strategy, Lu is also an important component of it?

Commentator A gave Commentator B a glance: ZGDX has always rotated their mid players. This season, Ming god retired and Smiling, as a newcomer, needs more competition experience, as such she’s been part of the lineup for most of the season. I’ll throw you down from the commentator seat if you keep creating issues which the media would love to pick up.
