Chapter 2: Simon Says

After climbing several flights of stairs, they made their way into a private room where only a few of their close friends were seated. A plate covered by a lid was placed on a table.

"What is this?" Vinnie looked around the room, confused as to where and what the surprise was.

"Is it drugs again dumbass?" Tiffany questioned Kai immediately as she took a seat, tapping the spot next to herself for Vinnie to sit.

"It's better than drugs, trust me." Kai grabbed a chair from behind him and took a seat, continuing his speech, "This right here-" He shot everyone a smile, "-could change humanity." He received claps from a few of his friends, "I call it The Frog!" He finishes over excitedly with jazz hands, removing the lid from the plate only to reveal a pound or so of white powder that resembled cocaine.

Nobody hesitated to laugh at the top of their lungs, more of the laugher coming from Tiffany as Vinnie couldn't help but also smile, watching his friends joke around.

"You're joking.....right?" Tiffany laughed off, getting up and walking towards the table. She makes an attempt to grab the plate off of the table, but was instantly stopped by Kai's protests.

"Tiffany, no! Don't fucking touch it with your bare fingers!" He screamed as he slapped her hands away childishly.

"You need gloves for this." He said dramatically, eyeing the people seated around the table as he slipped on his gloves, "So, who wants to go first?!" he asked, waiting for someone to answer.

After getting no responses, he decided to grab the drug and volunteer everyone to take a sniff of it. They watched as one of their friend's body fell to the ground, her body limp as she went still after a few seconds.

"She'll be fine!" Kai responded to everyone's worried expressions, "The Frog is doing it's job." With his smile never faltering he continued, "Ayo broski! I want you to stand up and do jumping jacks!" He yelled at her limp body before turning around to look at his friend's faces take over with surprise and shock as they watched her stand up and do exactly, jumping jacks.

"What the hell-" Tiffany started with pure shock, standing up to go examine her well being.

"I want you to drop to the floor" Kai demanded and she instantly dropped down hard on the floor, not blinking as a stifled scream escaped Tiffany's lips, "Kai! Stop it right now." She said, frantically picking up the drug and taking a sniff, then dropping it onto the table, "See?" She went over and punched Kai's arm, "This doesn't do-" She was unable to finish her sentence as she too, dropped to the floor.

"Tiffany, I want you to get on your knees and bow down to me." Kai instructed as he watched her get on her knees and bow her head down to him, "Okay that's enough." They all turned their heads towards Vinnie who stood up and made his way towards his bestfriend, grabbing her by her arm and picking her up.

"You can explain this later, we're leaving." He said sternly with a clench of his jaw as he stumbled his way towards the door. Tiffany's legs had given out so she leaned most of her body weight onto Vinnie.

Somehow they managed to walk out of the house with Tiffany in Vinnie's arms and made their way towards the street, "Can you please call us an Uber?" Vinnie called to the security guard standing in front of the house, then looked down at Tiffany in his arms, her mind clearly out of this world as her eyes started to become red and glossy. He noticed her eyes start to flutter and glaze over so he tried getting her to talk to keep her awake as best he could.

"Are you okay?" He whispered to her drugged out state under his breath.

"That fucking bitch, those were not normal drugs Vin." She managed to mumble out as all strength left her body and her head fell back out of Vinnie's arm, "Just take me home." Tiffany slurred, losing against the fight to the drugs and letting her eyes close as the car arrived.

Vinnie readjusts Tiffany's body in his arms so her head rested against his chest as he walked to the street towards the car. He lays her unconscious body in the back seats then sits himself down in the passenger's side. He gives the driver the address and looks out the window as he waits to get home.

He didn't know if it was the car or just his now more peaceful mindset, but the alcohol seemingly all kicked into his system at once. He gently rubbed his eyes tiredly but promptly whipped his head towards the driver in alarm and confusion as Vinnie heard him say, "I'm sorry in advance, Mr. Hacker." The driver moves in one swift motion and covers Vinnie's face with a cloth held tightly in his hand. Vinnie tried to make a move back at the driver, but his entire body soon felt numb as his brain fogged up, and goes pitch black.
