Quinn held me close, I struggled to free myself from her warm grasp. She pulled me in, the hug was tenacious, but it was what I needed at the moment. Quinn let out a quick sigh and bit my neck slowly sucking the blood out. Draining my neck of it's blood. I quickly got up and scampered away using partial speed. I was a half vampire half human, I had the abilities of a vampire and the blood and body of a human, though I was quite pale with red eyes, small retractable fangs, and least importantly I was quite gaunt and angular for my age. Quinn quickly walked to me and hugged me, "What's wrong honey?" I said in a sorrowful tone. Quinn was mute, well at least partially. Something was very, very wrong as her strong independent figure had turned to whose of a scared child, and she let not one word escape her red mournful lips. She got a horrified look on her face and in no less than a second she was gone again. Taken by the council. Again.

I briskly ran and jumped out the window. My hair flying indecisively with the strong wind. It smelled of wine and apple pie as I ran. I rose to the council with guilty eyes. My own father was there, of course as every person in that room, he had a secret. With the flip of a switch I heard a scream, then a gurgling sound, and finally silence. The silence that had arisen was deflated by clapping. I turn around only to find the person I hate the most Revon. She was the youngest member of the council, only a teen. Her dark red, gloomy eyes felt like arrows shooting at your skin, if you looked away. Her dark red eyes. I had similar eyes, we were both similar in appearance, yet we were utterly different. Only a few people in the room had red eyes. They were a sign of high status, and power. It was sick.

I turned to the ground, to save myself from being recognized. What happened! I let out a slight screech. I was staring right at Luke. His limp body and head separated. The silence was then again broken by a dripping sound. The sound was getting louder. Everyone was in a panic. I stood there, Smiling. The sound of glass shattering must have scared Revon, as she quickly ducked under her ultar. I looked at Quinn with reassuring eyes as Sage and Morana walked in the room. Sage let out a small sigh and whispered something to me, making sure she was not seen. Then she quickly bit Luke in the neck awakening him and she lit the building on fire. The sweet smell of the burning blood made me giggle
I turned to the right and looked at Quinn. The fear in her eyes scared me as she looked to her hands, which were handcuffed to the chair. Damnit. Of course you thought about her. I ran to her quickly grabbing the metal of the chair and crumbling it. Revon looked at me, her eyes shooting through the back of my head. "Why are you helping the fugitives!??" Her voice echoed through my head." I'm not, I am saving my girlfriend."  I murmured, putting the voice into her head. She looked at me in shock. She said something to her advisor and quickly jumped out of the building. With no one left in the building me and sage put the fire out. " Why did you need me to come?" Morana asked with a smile. "I needed some help", holding up Quinns hand I whispered "Quinn here was having a moment, before she got stolen by those devils."

Morana and Sage looked at each other with a smirk, "What are you two up to this time," said Quinn who had clearly regained her confidence. She was standing with her arms crossed looking to the side, sticking her tongue out at me. "She's so cute," Morana said with a smirk. Quinn regained her posture and snapped back "Shut it, you're the one who is all obsessed with Meir," Morana laughed it off, I knew something was wrong, the smile had lifted off of Sage's face, it became a gastly frown. I dare not speak a word of it, Sage would murder me if Morana found out about her crush. Whilst Morana loved Meir, Sage loved them both. Luke walked over holding his hand to his neck, "Whoa, guys what happened," he continued "One second I was in my house the next I was undead. Does anyone mind explaining???" We all shook our heads. We knew he was being sarcastic, his smile was a dead giveaway.

"Oh shush up with your sarcasticness," Morana growled. She was never the kind to like Luke. He was too reckless. He was the reason we were truly in this mess. Morana never paid attention to Luke, even since we were kids, running around in the palace, well my dad's house. He used to be the leader of the council until my sister took over. Running around having no worries. Revon played around too, she loved Luke. I mean she really LOVED him. But he at the time, loved me. She despised me. Everything in her power she did to keep me out of the throne. One day, I would always say, I will steal that throne from her. Today was the day I thought to myself. In a childish manor I walked to the throne and picked it up. Underneath.... There was her advisor! He saw the whole thing, she was probably watching through his eyes too. I knew what I had to do. I picked up her advisor, him struggling to free my grasp and I threw him directly into the guillotine. Woosh. His head lay still on the floor. "Revon," I whispered "I will murder you, just you wait." Just you wait. I sighed, "it's gonna be a long day. "
