🎯Chapter 26🎯

Start from the beginning

"But?"

"It's all very old. The books here all seem to have been published before 2015...just like in the Grace Field library. We can't be sure with the non-book materials, but...When it comes to books that deal with demons and the promise, they're all ancient enough to be considered historical." Ray said.

'All published before 2015...What does that mean? It couldn't be that Minerva's been away not for 13, but 30 years...? Though they were getting more recent cargo into the house...Oh, right, and Sister said she saw human beings from the outside...' Gilda thought.

Y/n, who finally got away from Ray, grabbed a book from the pile and drew a smiley face in the dust using his finger. He smiled at the drawing before turning to Nat, slightly raising the book.

"Hm?" Nat raised a brow as he looked at Y/n.

Y/n simply smiled at him before...

...he blew at the dust, Nat sneezing and coughing as it went towards his face and in his mouth and nostrils.

"Wow, it's falling apart! That's actually super cool!" Lannion exclaimed as he looked at a book.

"Just how many years does that have?" Thoma asked.

"Well, I don't know what's written here, but..." Lannion started.

"At any rate, we'll only get super outdated info from these books, right?" Thoma raised a brow.

"Huh? No, wait a sec...It doesn't add up." Don said as he looked at the book Y/n handed him.

"Bingo. Don is correct. Yesterday, that man knew how many of us had escaped...And also the date when we broke out. There has to be a method of getting real-time information about the world. Most likely those monitors." Ray said.

'If that's right...it will probably be useful to figure out a way to rescue the others.' Emma thought.

"What about the method of 'crossing' to the other world?" Anna asked.

"We've found nothing about it so far...I guess we'll have to locate Minerva first, after all." Emma said.

"What, did you find out anything about Minerva?" Gilda asked, eyes slightly shining.

"Yes!"

"This." Y/n said as he handed them an envelope.

"A letter?" Gilda asked.

"Yeah. It was inserted into one of those ancient books." Y/n said as wore a bored expression and leaned back in his chair.

"Congratulations on your success in making it so far

"Congratulations on your success in making it so far. I apologize for not being able to celebrate it with you personally. This shelter was made for you. However, should you aim for more...Should you want to go beyond merely living in peace, then, use your pen and head here. William Minerva A 08-63." The note read.
