"Okay,stop staring at me like that,I'll release you for recess now alright?"says the exasperated science teacher. His short but much appreciated sentence aroused whoops of joy. We were all starving and itching to move around freely after listening to the boring topic of energy and work done. Science lessons always droned on and on,unappreciatively.
As usual,we trooped loudly an rowdily over to the canteen,not surprised to see our editing of table positioning uncorrected as might some of the days. This was always a happy sight to us,seeing that we could eat right away without shifting,minus the darts and stares and look that could kill. We selected our seats and placed out book bags on them respectively. Ganga immediately just plopped herself comfortably onto a wooden chair,munching on her sandwich and browsing through Naseemah's phone freely. She just laughed out loud and didn't care why people thought. Most of us in this clique are like that. Those straightforward,don't give a care,just do it kind of people. That's why we are together. Birds of the same feather flock together or as per what Afrina like to say,ponies with the same cutie mark gather together. So much for friendship is magic.
Today,I was queuing up with the ever so random Diyanah who promised to treat me to a blueberry ice blended on impulse and now regretting a little. He was also queuing behind me. I didn't do those dramatic things like my heart skipped a beat,or my legs turned to jelly,blah,blah,blah. Seriously,nobody is really like that and I hate to exaggerate. But my heart did flutter a little and I resisted the urge to turn around. I shifted my body in a different angle,so I could see a bit of his face,here and there.
