Chapter 29-Mr Khanna and Mr Senior Khanna

Start from the beginning

'Technically she didn't say activities, she said being all lovey-dovey'.'

'You shut up.'

And then what followed was silence.

'Awkwardness' was the best word to display my emotions right now. I felt embarrassed, flushed and confused.

Mr Khanna's grip loosened on me due to our encounter with his notorious cousin and I found it the perfect chance to escape.

And for once he didn't stop me from running away.

I didn't cross my paths with Mr Khanna all day because of how nervous I was to look into his eyes.

And I wasn't planning to do that any soon.

"Avni.", Liza knocked at my door bringing me back to the room I was in. All-day moments of him and I clouded my vision. His beautiful eyes shining with that one unknown emotion that I can't name, the way he was looking at me with so much tenderness.

I shook my head and opened the door for her to get in but I was met with some unusual chaos.

"Liza why is everyone in so much hurry?"

"Ah, that's what I'm here to tell you.", she said gingerly. There was a grim look on her face as if she was feeling uneasy in telling me something.

"Liza, what's wrong?"

"Neil's Parents are coming .", she bombarded me with this heavy news.

I knew I had to eventually meet his family but this soon, oh stars!

She looked at me and I'm sure she could see the uncomforted look on my face.

"You don't have to worry Avni. I and Neil will be there beside you."

"Haa.", I let out a guarded smile," Of course."

"Let's go." I nodded and followed her to the big hall, the first face that came to my view was of Mr Khanna. He came forward and intertwined his fingers with mine and gave it a gentle squeeze. His face was emotionless but this little gesture was enough to comfort me.

Moments later a whole train of cars stopped in front of NK Villa. My heartbeat was sky-rocketing. Liza, Reece and Ivan's faces were grim too as if they weren't excited.

"Father.", a cool voice made me look back in front.

A man in his early 50s was walking in. He had that I-am-the-King-of-the-world-kinda look. I'm not judging him, it's just the stern look on his face that gave me those vibes. He had the same pair of brown eyes that Mr Khanna possessed and that made my theory of supposing him as his father true. He looked up from his watch straight at us.

Beside me I sensed Mr Khanna stiffen.

I looked beside Mr Khanna and saw a lady, she was beautiful as if she was a supermodel in her era. She was wearing an expansive burgundy silk sari. Well, now I know Mr Khanna got these die for good looks from his mother.

Lucky jerk!

What happened next made me laugh so hard I had to pinch myself from bursting out. Mrs Khanna had engulfed Mr Khanna in a hug, Mr-Arrogant-I-Don't-do-such-activities-Khanna into a hug.

That is one thing that she had to practically bend Mr Khanna to hug her due to how she was shorter than him.

A stern, uneasy look plastered on his face.

"Mother.", he said ever so coolly but his face showed utter discomfort. All this while I noticed one thing Mr Khanna was not someone who would like to get love, comfort or hugs.
