The drive to Joshua Tree wasn't very long, barely even two hours. Luckily we left at a decent time so the LA traffic wasn't horrible. My parents and I had visited Joshua Tree a few years back and it was honestly one of my favorite places I've ever been. It was so peaceful there and you felt like you could really connect with nature. It sounds cheesy, but it's hard to describe if you haven't been there. Vinnie had mentioned before that his friends visited Joshua Tree without him and that he was a little upset because it looked like a "dope" place to visit. So hopefully he'd be a little excited that it's where we were going.

He finally began noticing the signs and caught on that we were headed to Joshua Tree and his excitement was pretty prevalent the rest of the car ride to the Airbnb. Even though I was the one driving, he kept his hand on my thigh pretty much the entire drive.

When we arrived to cute Airbnb, Vinnie grabbed both of our bags and brought them inside. I honestly couldn't help but admire how nice and aesthetically pleasing the decor was. It was a pretty large house and had a nice pool in the backyard.

I stood in the kitchen looking outside the window at the view. The house was on a hill and the view was pretty amazing. I felt Vinnie's arms wrap around me and I smiled as he rested his chin on top of my head.

"Thank you for this, Sari. I really needed this." He said.

"You are absolutely welcome." I replied.

There were times when I wondered the status of our relationship, but majority of the time I didn't care about a title on us. I just loved being around him, being with him. We didn't need labels, we just were happy in each other's presence.

We lounged around for the rest of the day until the sun went down I decided I wanted to take a bath in the massive bathtub in the Airbnb. It was huge and I couldn't stop imagining how amazing it would be filled with bubbles and candles. Whoever owned the house must have known better because there were already candles around the bathtub and bathroom. Vinnie turned the bathtub on for me when he saw me lighting candles and I could tell he was half waiting for an invitation and half waiting for me to kick him out.

"Wanna join me?" I asked him.

"Duh." He said.

"Get in." I told him. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a box of Capri Suns before walking back to the bathroom where Vinnie was already sat in the bathtub.

"You read my mind." He laughed as I set the box on the edge of the bathtub. "You're the best." He opened on and began sucking the juice out of it.

I began undressing myself which caught the attention of Vinnie, "Don't look at me." I pouted.

"I've already seen you." Vinnie said.

"So?" I crossed my arms.

"Fine." He covered his eyes with his hands and I finished undressing myself before I climbed into the bathtub sat across from him. The bubbles covered both of our bodies, not like it mattered because like he said, we both had already seen each other naked. He had literally been in between my legs so to each their own I guess.

"What was high school like for you?" I asked as I opened my own capri sun.

"Normal, I guess. I played baseball so that was pretty cool. I finished early but I still have a prom to go to in a few weeks." Vinnie said. "You?"
