The next day I walked to the cafe and got a iced tea. I sat down on a table and began to sketch in my notepad. I heard the bell on the door ring and in walked Hardin, a gorgeous girl with pink hair, a cropped black top and a check skirt on and a skater looking boy."hello, can I get a cappuccino with almond milk and cinnamon on top?"the girl asked "sure thing" "regular black coffee, please" the one and only hardin Scott explained as he leaned on the counter "for you?" The worker asked the skater boy "an Americano, please" "no problem" she smiled "thanks" the skater boy said as the girl hit him with her handbag "your such a player!". Hardin was staring into my soul "thank you" he said as the coffee was passed to him, snapping out of his glance. As they passed through the cafe his eyes locked with mine.
After that, I met up with Steph and we went looking for tessa "she's probably in the library or something" I laughed and we went there. "Guess what?" Steph said as, tessa shushed her, we went onto either sides of tessas chair and Steph excitedly told her "we are gonna go to a party tonight" "I don't know" tessa whispered making mine and Stephs faces fall "we're going" I whined, shaking her chair a little "don't you wanna have fun?" Steph asked "yeah tess" I joined, someone shushed us again "you shh" steph answered, making me laugh "yeah of course I do" tessa said "then grab your shit" "yes,okay" we grabbed tessas books and began to walk away "let's get ready to party" steph exclaimed happily and we bumped hips as we went down the hall with tessas stuff in hand.

Steph wore a yellow cropped top, black denim shorts, netted tights, and doc martins. "What do you think?" Tessa asked, holding up a red dress that looked like something my dead nan would wear, steph whipped off her belt that she tried on and chucked it across the room "what?" Tessa asked "it's... it's pretty" she said "maybe not for this type of party though" I smiled, Tessa turned around and put it up against her in the mirror "yeah, maybe it's just.. a little too formal" steph explained as she rested her head on tessas shoulder from behind her "you said be myself" tessa complained, she looked at the dress again "know what? I love it" "I love it" steph laughed, they both turned to me "absolutely gorgeous" I smiled, We finished our makeup and went to the party.
It was loud and there was drinks and drugs everywhere, definitely my vibe! "Oh it's gonna be crazy, hey!" Steph said to some random girl "hey, what's up", There was party games every where and all you could hear was people shouting "chug, chug, chug". "There's my baby" Steph smiled, walking up to Tristan and kissing her "hey I'm not done" Tristan whined, pulling her back for another kiss, tess stood awkwardly and I grabbed a drink "hey girlies" Tristan waved "hey" I said, lifting my drink to say hi "hi" Tessa awkwardly said. "I need things to be way less in focus" steph laughed as she clinked cups with me and Tristan, we had a drink and got to the party.
Over on the sofa was Stephs friend group "do that again, do that again" the Same girl from the cafe said "do it again? I'm dying over here" the skater boy laughed "do it! I wanna get it on camera" she exclaimed, pulling her phone out. The boy took a puff of the vape and exhaled "sick bro" she laughed. We walked over to them "hey guys" the girl said, steph walked over "these are my roommates, tessa and Haley, this is everybody" she said, sitting down on the sofa, tessa stayed quiet "alright?" I said "nice to meet you both" the same skater boy from before said shaking both our hands, one at a time "my names zed" steph then started talking "you've met Hardin, that's molly" she pointed to the two people, all over eachother"hey" molly looked at us "wanna sit down?" Zed asked tessa and then he patted the end of his knee for me "no more seats" he joked, I just went and sat on his knee😂. "Cute dress" molly laughed, tessa looked fuming " oh yeah, and that's jace the townie" steph said, changing the subject and pointing to a boy that looked high off his head "what's up?" He said "what's your major beautiful" zed asked me "visual arts, so like architecture" I said "and Tessa?" He asked "I'm thinking business or maybe economics" "very cool" he nodded "you want a drink" jace asked tessa because she looked like a loner, being the only one without a drink "I don't really drink" she shrugged "come on were all drinking, have a drink" jace laughed and nodded, trying to pass tessa the bottle. Molly rolled her eyes, causing tessa to take a sip "no ones talking to you" zed said, not noticing the girl drinking beside him "ohhh, yes" jace joked, everyone wooed and chuckled "you okay?" Zed laughed "can I have a puff" I asked zed who had a vape in his hand, making Hardin pull away from his and mollys kiss "course you can" he winked, passing me the vape. I did a ghostie and everyone looked at me like I was crazy "so she's a smoker?" jace joked and turned to steph "your fave stoner" I joked as I flicked my hair, tessa stood up and sat on a stool next to the sofa and I sat on the now empty space next to zed "leaving me I see" he joked." Okay, so guys... truth or dare" molly said "what?" "Truth or dare" "no no" Zed said "come on" she whined "isn't this a kids game" tessa asked, Tristan giggled "not the way we play" Molly told her "hey newbies?" jace said "truth or dare" he asked, me and tessa both said truth "craziest place you've had sex" molly said "me?" I asked "both of you" she nodded "probably on a teachers desk, in a detention" I laughed, Hardins eyes widened "um, pass" tessa nervously said "why? It's an easy one" molly whined, tessa looked around silently "wait. Are you a virgin?" Molly laughed, everyone looked at her "I'll do dare" tessa changer the subject "dare!" Jace shouted "I dare you to make out with Hardin" he said "she won't do it" molly roles her eyes "this never ends well" jace groaned and Hardin got up, he walked over and bent down so his face was at the same height as hers "so you wanna do this?" He asked "having fun molly?" Jace asked, molly was recording the whole game. tessa stood up and so did Hardin "I'm done playing this game" tessa said and she walked into the front yard "I like this girl" Zed laughed "Hardin Scott, got his first rejection" moly teased, walking up to Hardin "denied bro" jace said and I got a call from my mum so I went upstairs and into an empty room "hello" I said as I answered the phone "where are you darling?" She asked, hearing the loud music "oh I'm at a house party with my new friends" I told her "well I'm glad your making friends, make sure to be safe though whatever you do" she explained "I will, always" I reassured "I'll let you have fun, I love you" she said "I love you mum" I exclaimed over the loud music and she ended the phone "boo" someone said behind me, causing me to jump "what are you doing" I laughed, turning to face Hardin "could ask you the same thing" he said "you looking for something?" he asked "course not, I was on the phone to my mum" I explained, I was looking at his bookshelves mostly at a particular book "wuthering heights" he saw and took the book out of the case "he's more myself than I am" he told me "whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same" he explained, not breaking eye contact the whole time. "It's brontë, hale" he grinned "I know it's brontë, and sorry to break it to you pretty boy but my name is Haley" I smiled "what are you doing in my room?. Haley" he asked "your room?" "Yes" he put the book back in the case and said "are we still playing, because I think you should give me a dare" "and what would that dare be then" I asked "I say you take tessas turn" he whispered, inching towards my ear. Our lips almost touched when I stopped "promise me this won't mean anything?" I said "no promises" he said as he kissed my lips, slowly and passionately, he put his hands on my ass and pulled me closer to him. This kiss went on for a while until I pulled away, Hardin smirked at me and pecked my forehead "bye" he laughed, leaving the room.
When I came downstairs tessa came up to me "can we go home?" She asked "yeah of course" I smiled, and took a last glance to Hardin who was sat on the roof. We walked home and I curled up in bed. I can't believe that I just kissed him, after everything I've been through. Am I stupid???.
