I walked into the office for a normal Monday however, it didn't stay like that. I walked through the front doors to be met by one of my best friends holding two takeaway coffees'.
"Uh, I love you," I said taking my coffee from him
"Morning to you too," he laughed
"Yeah morning, sorry I'm just not overly looking forward to this meeting this morning," I replied as we scanned in and walked towards the elevators.
"Still not got any new ideas?" he asked
"Nope. I stayed up for hours trying to find a new story and nothing so I don't know what I'm going to pitch so hopefully in the next 5 minutes ill come up with something." I replied inside as we went up
"Well, I'm sure you will. You're a great writer." He replied
"Well thanks but being a good writer won't help me come up with an idea and plus your very bias in saying that," I said
We laughed
"Yeah, a little but you are a good writer, don't doubt yourself on that." He replied
"I know. Thanks. You don't by any chance have any ideas?" I asked
"Nope sorry, it's not like I'm a writer like you." He replies
"I know I was just hoping you might," I replied
"Well sorry to disappoint." He replied as we walked into Spotlight's reception "well good luck." He said walking off towards the fashion department. I gave him a half-smile as I walked towards my desk.
I put my bag and coat down and grabbed out my notebook and entered the meeting room where some of the other writers were already sat down waiting.
"Morning Paige," I said sitting next to her
"Morning." She replied "did you manage to think of anything?" she asked
"Nope," I replied
"Well, you better think of something quick." She replied nodding towards our editor in chief's office and her walking out the door.
"I'm so dead," I replied placing my face in my hands
I grabbed my coffee and took a sip as she walked in and sat down at the front.
"Right let's get started, Louis what have you got?" she said
"I was thinking of doing a piece on Tom Hiddleston and his new Loki series.
"Yes, I like that idea. Oliver?" she said
"Well, I did come up with an idea but I'm unable to do it." He replied
"Ok what's the idea?" she asked
"Well, I was thinking of a life of an F1 driver piece and I have everything set up but I'm unable to travel to do it and I have this other piece that I told you about that I'm working on." He replied
