Runaway (Ushijima Wakatoshi X Hinata Shoyo)

Special Chapter

"Uhm Coach, I think you have to chill. It's bad that you're this stressed especially in your ag-"

"Shut that crap, Ushijima Shoyo! Especially you're one of the reasons why am I so stressed."

Shoyo sighed "Yeah. Sorry"

"GO! AKIHIKO! YOU CAN DO IT!"

Akihiko could only blush in embarrassment. He almost inherited everything from his father, Wakatoshi. Well except on shutting everything out to keep himself calm.

He's not feeling pressured at all. He's confident he can play well to win. But hearing this fangirls cheering for him (too much that all you could hear in the stadium was Akihiko's name) doesn't fail to make him embarrassed.

Though one thing that made him anxious is that he can't seem to find his parents in the crowd. Seeing them watching him play makes Akihiko calm.

And the time comes when the whisle has been blown, sign that the game is starting, Akihiko still didn't see his parents anywhere.

'Where are they? They promised they'll come right?'

So on the first set, even though Akihiko scored half for his team, it's obvious that he is cranky all throughout the set. But they still won the set with 25-18.

Oikawa tsked "What's the matter with that kid? He's obviously out of his own self?"

"Maybe because Uncle Toshi and Uncle Shoyo aren't here yet?"

"Maybe it is, Daiki. But that's not an excuse. If you're on a match, especially an official one, always play to win. Not play for anyone else"

"AKI! WE'RE HERE WITH YOUR PARENTS! UP HERE!"

Oikawa chuckled "Oh yes. And don't be like Akihiko who's also playing to Impress"

Akihiko turned to the direction of the voice and saw Kita Mizuki waving with her parents, Kita Shinsuke and Tsukishiro Mavis. Beside them are Shoyo and Wakatoshi, each holding his siblings, Himari and Haru.

Akihiko immidiately felt energized. Evident when he almost scored everything in the second set with 25-6 im favor of his team, Aoba Johsai.

"Did you see that, Mizuki! We won! Hahaha!" Akihiko said proudly, puffing his chest out.

"You did a great job out there, Aki!" Mizuki said smiling that made Akihiko blush a little.

"Tsk tsk. He really played just to impress a girl. Geez." Oikawa tsked beside Shoyo.

"Well, we have our own motivation. It so happened that Mizuki is the one who made Aki so motivated." Shoyo shooked his head

"Yeah but still. Who did that kid took after? It's obviously not you, Shoyo. You're the type to play well just to prove you're great. Not to impress!"

"It's from me, Tōru. I guess I have played to impress my father before if only he watched my games. And I guess I did sometimes too for Shoyo " Wakatoshi said with a grin

"You look so proud of it, Wakatoshi san?" Shinsuke said in a teasing voice

"Of course I am. Especially it works everytime. Don't tell me you didn't do that? Not even once, Tōru? Shinsuke?"

"Hmp. I always do that before and say it was for the fangirls. But it's actually to impress Iwa-chan."

"Maybe I do too. For Mavis." Shinsuke admitted in a straight face

Mavis sighed "He always like this. Admitting things like it's nothing"

"That's what our husbands have in common. Wakatoshi does that too.

"At least he lighten up most of the time! Shin is just that!"

"You love him anyway. So stop complaining, Mavis!"

"Shoyo!" Mavis stomped her feet.

"Kids, gather here now! I will start the movie!"

"Okay!" The kids answered in unison.

Shoyo and Wakatoshi hosted a movie night. Inviting Tōru and his son Daiki over as well as Shinsuke, Mavis and Mizuki. Hajime said he'll come over too.

They heard the doorbell rang. So Tōru ran to the door to open it, expecting it to be Hajime but when he opened up, he saw Tobio and his Wife, Jade. "Oh hello Tōru san!"

"Ugh! Why do I have to open up the door for Tobiochan! I had no problem if it's only for Jade chan but-"

"Stop complaining Shittykawa. Im here anyway."

Hajime spoke behind Tobio so when Tōru heard his husband, he immidiately pushed Tobio out of the way and jumped on his arms "Iwa-chan!"

Tobio tsked "Didn't even change a bit. He's still childish. Don't be like him, Jarvan."

"Hey!"

"He's not wrong though."

"Iwa-chan!"

Jarvan ran inside the moment he saw his bestfriend, Himari. "Marichan!"

"Jarvykun!" 

Shoyo chuckled "Good thing you made it here, Tobio kun! I thought you won't make it since your flight is delayed."

"That's what I also thought. But Jade is so excited she used her jet to come here immidiately"

"Of course I would. Especially now that my favorite kid won his game today!" Jade messed Akihiko's hair.

"I thought I am your favorite, Auntie!" Daiki, Haru, Himari, and Jarvan said in unison. Mizuki snickered.

"I mean you are all my favorite!"

"AUNTIE THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS!"

After the movie, everyone said their goodbyes. And when everyone already left, Shoyo made Akihiko watch his friends' video greetings congratulating Aki's win.

From his former Captain's family Daichi, Koushi and their two sons.

Ryu, Shimizu and their daughter.

Azumane, Yuu and their (overzealous) daughter.

Chikara and Yuuji with their twins.

Even Kei, Tadashi and their three daughters.

Not to mention Kenma and Tetsuro with their son, Kenjiro. And Koutaro and Keiji's twins Kouji and Keita.

Akihiko is so happy. Though the most important for him is his family, being proud of him, he can't help but feel blessed that he made everyone proud for his win.

Shoyo and Wakatoshi felt happy too, of course. Seeing their child living his dream. Making them proud that Aki is giving his best for himself and his family.

The two won't ask anything more that their kids happiness. And they'll work hard to keep that happiness as long as they live
