Waking up around 7 in the morning,

Mr. Massimo brings out a stack load of fish inside a wooden box inside the house. Setting it all onto the cart connected behind the bike. As Mr. Massimo was doing so, I was helping Giulia set up her bike making sure things were ready

"You got the timer right?" Giulia asks me, nodding as the timer was in my pocket. Mr. Massimo set down another box into the cart and whistles

"That should be all of them."

"Thank you papa!" Giulia calls her father, as we were both about to walk out. We hear Mr. Massimo call for us

"Have a great day at work girls, take care!" He yells to us, for a good luck in sale, giving him a wave or a thumbs up. I hop onto behind the cart as Giulia drove the bike, making her morning runs

"Alright Bella! Let's see how much power I have!" She yells to me, nodding as I take out the timer.

"Alright, get ready in three...two...o--" before I can finish counting, Giulia speed up, over to the hill. I'll say, she was fast and giving all of her best. I can see her sweating from my view. While holding onto the fish so they wouldn't fall, we finally make it to the top as I hear her pant outloud tiredly

"Woof! That was a good run! How was my time??" She asks me, turning over to the timer in my hands

"You were...30 minutes in the run" I tell her, unsure of her low record

She scoffs and shakes it off.

"That's okay! We still have a lot of time before the big race, so we really gotta push ourseveles to greatness!" She says enthusiastic

Smiling confidently, giving her a thumbs up

"I know we can both win! We just gotta keep on trying!" I reply to her with the same energy

After a few moments for our delivery, it's right around 12 in the afternoon, the whole morning we spent togetther talking and training ourseveles. It didn't matter how we wasted our morning, but we wasted together

"Hey Annabella, I gotta ask, what happened between you and Brandon?" Giulia asks me, making me flushed furiously I turn around to face her

"W-what are you talking about?? What made you bring him up out of the blue??" I asks her nervously

"I mean, didn't you said in your letters you sent him a note before summer started? Did he reply back? What did he say??" Giulia asks me, egeard to know my answer

Unfortunately, this wasn't going to be a happy answer she wanted to hear.

"Uhm...he said no." I tell her looking away, as she mid way stop her bike and turns around to look at me

"Whaat?? He said no?? After all that work you did for almost half a year, he still said no?" Giulia asks me, making me blush as I turn around. Feeling the corner of my eyes start to tear up.

Giulia feeling guilty for the way she said it, she extend her arm over to me as I look over to her

"Don't worry, he isn't worth to cry over. What he did is he messed up, so long Brandon and hello new year!" She cheers, smiling softly over to her. Extending my arm as we hold our hands together

"Thanks Giulia, you're the greatest friend anyone would ever ask for" I tell her, she smiles back as we let go and continue on our runs

"Yknow, if anything, there plenty fish in the sea for ya, who knows!" Giulia comforts me.

"Thanks but I might just pass, I mean, I fonded over a boy who didn't even liked me back. I doupt there's anyone out there for--"

"Hold on to that thought, look!" Giulia points over to the bottom of the hill so we're the monster fountain were.
