Hidden

Hidden is my fear,
My shame,
My pride.
Hidden is my love,
My joy,
All hidden deep inside.

I wear a joyous mask,
I do not let you see,
That this is all an act;
An act that's killing me.

You would not understand,
Believe me, I am fine.
Don't ask if I'm ok,
Just go leave me behind.

Do so as my heart cracks,
And my eyes stream tears,
I'll keep on my emotional mask,
For the rest of my lonely years.
