Latula had listened to Mituna trying to warn them about the oncoming threat and because she is the Knight of Mind, was going to go and fight it. Even though Mituna was happy someone heard him, he couldn't let his matesprit get hurt since he knew what could happen to the person who went and faced this threat. So before she could go fight it, Mituna asked Kurloz to help him by at least bringing his body back to Latula as he went to fight this threat himself.
