Chapter 1 - Tiring Encounter

You wake up in your house, your room, your bed, ready to start off a new day and have a total blast going through it. You jump out of your bed and the first thing you think off is food, you head downstairs where the kitchen is located, look into the fridge- "hmmm what do I eat." Normally you'd have your parents to make you something but since your dad went off on a business trip and your mom is working on days you are forced to make something yourself, so you decide on a simple bowl of cereal since you weren't feeling like a chef for now. You make some cereal, eat it and wash the spoon and the bowl afterwards, then you decide to take a shower yourself, brush your teeth and dress up.
After all those long preparations you quickly grab your coat, money and cut out keys to the house that you've got from your parents when you turned 16 years old and left, locking the doors behind you.
As you walk out of the premises of your house, many cars bypass your street, making you wait to go across the road to your objective, the famous
Pixel Parade Arcade! It was the place you've spent most of the time and money from the start when you first discovered it and moved into the city.
When you reached the arcade you look at the entry doors, happy to be there again, when you enter the building your ears fill with cheering and clapping, as you look to your left, a crowd of grouped up people surround the play area that normally has the Dance Dance Revolution game, you walk up to the man that normally gives out credits to play the games around the place,
"Hey kiddo, what is it?" The worker asks,
"Just 5 credits please." You say,
"Alright- Y/N was it, right?" He asks, you nod back approvingly.
After you exchange the cash for credits you decide to ask what the grouping is about,
"What's going on there?"
"Just a kid playing on a deer pad against another kid, go check it out yourself."
You decide to do so, walking towards the crowd you try to peek through and see who was playing.
A character covered in grey fur with a grey tail and ears, having three piercings fills your vision, he also had darkish pants, shoes and a colourful hoodie on him and on the other side was a different person playing, clearly losing, after the match ended the guy got angry,
"AAARG! You fuzzy-" he calmed himself down before exploding on them, "A deal is a deal, I neither wanna get banned from this place by causing a fight with a punk, come on guys let's go." The guy said leaving, 3 more behind him,
"Yeah! Bug off!" He chuckled out as the crowd began to dispatch, the kid got off and sat down on a seat, legs crossed, probably resting.
Now was your chance to either play a game yourself or try to interact with that strangely nice-looking fellow, you chose the second option to no surprise. You sat down next to them,
"You often get go against them?"
"No, we struck a deal and dealt it out, you even know 'em? You don't look too concerned." He answered, taking a glance at you before sitting properly and looking at you,
"No?" You answered, clearly confused,
"They're the snakes of this place, no one wants to deal with them."
"So like the bullies of the neighborhood, or a gang?"
"Sorta, you're new at this place?"
"Moved in 2 weeks ago." You replied, he smirked at you,
"Could've guessed, how about a round on the pads, hmm?- uh... What's your name?"
"Y/N." You answered,
"Nice to meet ya, Y/N. I'm Kapi, so what do you say?" Kapi asked again, energetically jumping out of the seat, reaching out his hand to you,
"Nice to meet you too, and sure!"
You take his hand, he pulls you out.
You both get onto the DDR Pads, play a bit until it's noon, you nearly won but Kapi was still ahead of you in score,
"Tough Luck they say."
"Yeah, I guess, It was nice spending time with you, though, I got to go since my mom might be waiting for me at home." You excuse yourself, getting off the DDR Pad and leaving towards the exit, Kapi then suddenly grabs you by the arm, stopping you,
"-Hey, wait! Mind if we exchange numbers? Just if we ever wanna chill out and play something again."
You nod, taking out your phone,
"Alright."

You both exchange your phone numbers and then you both leave, you notify your mom that you're coming home, you get home and start eating dinner. You then take a shower, brush your teeth and go to bed. You check your phone and you've already got a message from Kapi,
"Hey! Just checking if you didn't give me one of those fake numbers"
You type out a reply,
"Not a fake number, would be smarter to check it at the arcade if you're that worried about that" hoping to reassure Kapi,
"Alright I won't bother ya, cuz I'm staying up a bit more and you might be wanting to sleep"
"It's alright" You type back.

And so you and Kapi type away until one of you decides to go to sleep, the first one being you.
