I picked up the $1OO off the table and placed it in my pocket for safe keeping. I cleared the table and washed the dishes while Livy had been busy with the book area of the store. The lunch crowd was hectic today. They were like Roaches with anticipation to get to the other side of the floor before it was killed.

Finally 5 o'clock came and, boy I was tired and coffed out. (See what I did there. Lmao.) I don't work the night shifts on Monday. I took my apron off and slug it forward into my employee locker. I grabbed my purse and my grayish knitted sweater and headed for the door. Before I got to push it open, I was pushed down to the floor. I felt it coming, I was going to hit it hard this time. Instead I felt a strong hand right above my butt and gripping my arm. Suddenly I was standing straight up. No bruises, No scratches, nothing at all. My eyes had fluttered open to see the same man. The same one from this morning. Why was here? Again? I could see his chiseled jaw and his big brown eyes looking down at me. I couldn't help but seem to know him from somewhere. His gaze was now looking directly behind me. I think. "What is there something on my face" I asked in a serious tone while getting out of his grip and rubbing my face for any flour or smudges of food. He didn't say a word. I was agitated at his silence and I knew damn well he heard me. I followed his gaze. A frown suddenly appeared on my face as I saw what he had been starring at. He was looking at the black wig I was wearing. I ran over to Livy and told her I quit and I apologized. "Why" was all I heard her say, as I ran past the man I picked the wig up and scurried along? "Miss...Miss....Miss, Hey! Please wait." I heard the man yell. I didn't want to look back. I didn't want to be in this town anymore. I'm just ready to go back to college and get my degree already. I stopped to catch my breath. I leaned my back against the smooth wall and slid all the way down and pulled my knees up to my chest. I sat there thinking about everything that has happened to me in my 18 yrs. Of life. I felt the tears sting the back of my eye. I tried to keep them back but it was too late. Ladies and Gentleman The waterworks by Kody Wilson. I dreaded crying. I noticed a few people staring at me with a confused looks, but right now I don't give not ONE Fuck what they doing. I had felt a hand tap my shoulder. "Please go away, if you're a stealer go ahead and take my things" I said in a muffled tone. A deep voice had chuckled. Oh great it's the police here to arrest me. I felt another tap on my shoulder. I squirmed at their touch. "Please leave me to die, I'm pretty sure the world will do better without me in it" I said again through my low sob. "I'm sorry miss I can't do that" the deep voice said. All of a sudden there was a hand under my chin nudging it toward his direction.

I finally opened my eyes to same big brown eyes from the café. I snatched my face from his grip. "What are doing here?" I said, trying to sound stern but my voice cracked. I stood up and he did the same. "If I may ask, what are you doing here" he said. Ugh, can't he just leave me alone. I thought about running away, but knowing him he'll might find me again. "You're following me, CREEP" I semi yelled. His look changed from apologetic to a smirk. "I own this building baby girl" he said grinning at me while flashing those perlie straight teeth. I snorted and turned on my heel to walk away, when I felt a hand around my waist and my feet no longer touching the ground. OH Great! A kidnapper, like that's what I really need right now. Yippee! I remember my lessons that my Self-defense trainer I used to go to, taught me. I elbowed whoever that had grip on my waist and back kicked him in the shin and stomped his other legs, foot. Whoever it was had let go so quickly and fell to the ground. My foot sat above his prized jewels. I looked at the man widened eyes staring at my foot in front of him. "Haven't your father taught you to never to touch girls" I spat at him. His grin had faded and all the color had drained from his face and you could see the seriousness replaced it. I put my foot down and started walking away proudly.

2 hours, 3 buses and a 2 block walk to get home. When I walked in I yell out. "Mom, Macy" I yelled looking around. I walked in and sat my purse in the old couch in the living room. I walked over to the kitchen to reheat leftovers from yesterday's night. I noticed the note sticking with a magnet attached that read:

Dear Kody,

Me and your sister (Macy) have moved back to Louisiana. I knew supporting me and your sister both was a big burden on you. Call the apartment we're staying in at 305-478-1254 (not real number)

The place is all yours now. The money is also yours now so spend it wisely. I love you Kody

Best regards,

Mom, Macy

p.s I'm sorry we didn't tell you this morning.

I was about to crawl in a ditchand die right then. I really glad I don't have to worry about them anymore but I will miss my sister's sassiness and her always bickering with me. I'll miss my mom's home cooked meals. This was probably for the best now. There's nothing I can do about it now. I wasn't even hungry anymore. I went to what used to be "our" room and went in the closet and grabbed the vodka bottle I had stashed away. I turned on some music from my iPod and turned it all the way up. I stripped down to my underwear and bra. I sat on my bed and opened the bottle. I went to reach for a glass but I forgot it downstairs. "damn" I took the bottle and tilted it forward and threw my head back. The strong taste rushing down my throat as I sat there.
