Rules To Live By

Mac Is Not Allowed To...

"I'm so bored." Mac whines loudly.

"Go make something." Riley suggests.

"There's nothing for me to make. Matty's hidden everything. Why would she do that?" Mac asks sounding betrayed?

"You are supposed to be resting and recovering from being shot."

"I'm fine!"

"You were shot, Mac. You're not fine. It's only a week. You're not even supposed to be here, but here is the only place we can watch and make sure you don't do anything."

Mac jumps off the vouch suddenly. "I'll be back!"

"Where are you going?" Riley asks as she spins in her chair.

"To visit Bozer in his lab."

"Okay, have fun."

"Don't worry, I will."

...    ...

"Ahhhhh! Oh, baby penguins!"

Riley jumps at the shout. It sounded like it was near the War Room.

She opens the door to see Jack sprawled on the ground with Mac laughing nearby. In between them is a human size alien looking thing.

"What happened here?" Riley asks as she walks closer.

Jack moans from the floor. "Mac pushed me."

"I did not. I scared you."

"Did not. I don't get scared." Jack protests.

"Sure, keep thinking that." Mac teases.

"What is this?" Riley lightly touches the "face" of the alien.

"Timmy. I made him from random objects from Bozer's lab.

"Bozer let you tinker in his lab?"

"Yes, he was distracted and I told him I was bored." Mac says simply.

"What is going on up here? An agent found me and told me they heard screams coming from the War Room."

They all gulp and turn around. Matty is staring at them with her hands on her hips.

"I have no clue but what whatever it is I didn't have any part in it." Riley quickly moves away from the guys.

"Jack?" Matty says sternly.

"Why are you asking me? I'm the victim!"

"I'm asking you cause it's always your fault."

"It was Mac! He made an alien to scare me!"

"Ha! So you admit I scared you!" Mac yells triumphantly.

"MacGyver, what is that thing?" Matty points to Timmy.

"Timmy. He's an alien I built."

Matty pinches her nose. "Why did you build an alien?"

"I was bored and wanted to scare Jack."

"No. More. Building. Aliens. In. The. Phoenix. Building. Under. Stand?" Matty says angrily.

"Yes, Ma'am." Mac squeaks.

...   ...

"I'm so disappointed I have to do this again." Matty walks to the paper with rules and scribbles something down on it.

She turns around and stares down the team. "If any of you ever break this rule you're fired instantly." She threatens before leaving.

Jack waits a few seconds before getting up to read the new rule.

"MacGyver is under no circumstances ever allowed to be bored. All team members are responsible for finding an activity for Mac when he claims to be bored."
