"So you and Peter?" Steve asked.

I looked at Steve. "What about us?" I asked in confusion.

"Does he come to your window every night?" He asked.

My eyes went wide. "How do you-" I began.

"I heard you laughing the other night and then I heard Peter's voice," Steve stated. "He makes you happy?"

I looked away. "We're really good friends, we share a few things in common and he's a dork," I told him. "He makes me laugh and yeah he cheers me up. He's been coming to my window since I got suspended."

"I don't mind him coming to the window but not in your bedroom!" Steve told me.

I rolled my eyes. "He just sits on the fire escape or I sit out there with him," I lied. "We just talk and watch the world go by, it's pretty calming and we just laugh together."

Hmm yes Peter and I had actually had mini sleepovers a couple of times but let's not get into that.

Steve and I entered the park. "You like him?" He asked.

"Nope, we are not having this conversation," I told him starting to feel uncomfortable.

Yeah our relationship was going great and we were really getting along but there was no way on earth I was having that conversation with Steve but then again it probably wouldn't last long due to Steve feeling awkward. Last week I was having 'female issues' and I needed Steve to take me to the store so I could get some things, as soon as I picked up the items Steve was bright red and made me hold the basket while he literally started sweating every time he looked at me or the basket, then when the girl was scanning the items Steve had to go and wait outside!

Steve chuckled as he led me over to the grass area. "Move back over there," He told me and pointed a good distance away.

I frowned as I walked over to where he was pointing and I stood with my arms by my side staring at Steve who was holding the shield in his right hand then he smiled at me. Steve swung his right arm round then threw the shield at me, I ran backwards as fast as I could then I jumped up into the air and caught the shield with two hands. I looked at the shield in my hands then I looked up at Steve who was smiling then he waved his arms in the air making me smile, wow we really were playing catch with the shield. I held the shield in my right hand and then I swung my right arm throwing the shield at Steve who ran back then jumped in the air laughing. Before we knew it we had more or less taken over the park, we were running in different directions throwing the shield to one another, both of us laughing as we caught the shield then throwing it back to one another; For once I kinda felt like we were a family, I mean this was the first time the two of us really laughed and were having tons of fun.

I caught the shield and I held the giant frisbee in my hands, my fingertips went over the star and the coloured stripes.

"You know the first time I held that shield your Mother shot at it," Steve said he walked over to me.

I looked up. "WHAT?" I asked in shock. "Why?"

Steve shook his head. "I'm not going to get into that," He told me. "You look tiny holding that thing."

I groaned. "You said you weren't going to mention my height!" I moaned.

Steve laughed then patted my head. After a good hour we were both sat on a bench eating ice cream from the ice cream van. I sat crossed legged on the bench looking at Steve who was sat facing forward laughing to himself-

"What?" I asked as I nudged Steve with my foot.

Steve looked at me. "Clint was right, you're a good kid. I had you all wrong when we first met," He stated.

I smiled. "And you're not bad for a ninety year old," I laughed. "You were so grumpy when we first met but you seem to have a sense of humor."

Steve went to pinched me but I moved out the way. "Oi less of the old and less of the grumpy!" He told me. "What do you wanna do tonight, you can pick food too?"

I hummed. "Can we order chinese and watch back to the future?" I asked sweetly. "PLEAAAAASSSEEEE!"

"What is it with you and that film?" Steve asked in confusion. "You've watched it three times this week?"

"It was one of the first movies I ever watched," I explained. "I was five and I was stood on the couch in Agent Johnstons office singing Johnny Be Goode into a pen!"

"I'm picturing it now," Steve laughed. "Come on, we'll walk back and order a chinese for later."

I cheered as I jumped off the bench. Steve picked up his shield and the two of us walked through the park smiling at one another.

Oh yeah I could do this everyday!
