the orange RX pill bottle stared her down. her name was printed in bold letters along the front, followed by "LITHIUM", the medication's name. the bottle stood empty.

the loud hurling made ranboo rush to the bathroom, where he found coraline curled up on the cold linoleum. words fell out of his mouth in a jumbled mess. whatever he said, she couldn't understand. she quickly sat up, hunched herself over, and threw up again as ranboo held her hair back.

when she was finished, he got her cleaned up. he helped wash her face, made sure she brushed her teeth, he even drew her a lukewarm bath, decorating it with bubbles and a bath bomb that he stole from
his mother.

when she asked him to stay in the bathroom with her, he hesitated, but said yes. the two talked, ranboo sitting on the floor, his back resting against the sink's cupboard, and coraline sat in the bath, legs curled to her chest. the shower curtain was the only barrier between the two.

after the water ran cold and coraline was dressed, ranboo lead her to the bed, adorning her in extra blankets and covers. a quick kiss on the forehead and then he was out of the bedroom.

as the patter of his feet quieted, coraline weakly slipped out of the bed, and into the bathroom. she snagged the empty pill bottle, and hid it, hoping ranboo wouldn't find it. she lied back down onto the bed, and buried herself in the covers.

the onslaught of pills she took wasn't enough to do anything, bur she still clung onto the hope that she wouldn't wake in the morning.

to her demise however, she did. at just past 11:00, ranboo woke her up to a soft whisper, and the smell of soup. chicken and stars, more specifically. the thermos sat between her hands as she watched television, taking sips ever so often.

she looked over to the computer desks, the one adorned in stickers held an empty chair, the undecorated one had her boyfriend sitting his dumb unicorn chair. the keyboard clicked loudly as he edited. a soft sigh escaped her lips.
