Chapter 21: Hi_S_tories

Start from the beginning

"Now. I don't think I can tell them later on and just keep this in," Haru said. Beside him, Yua nodded.

"If that's what you want." Haru got up and opened the door. He knew Yua wouldn't come and she would stay in the room for the rest of the night grieving the loss of her brother.

"Kids-" but he was immediately cut short by seeing Inasa and Nariko crying together. Damn, did they already know? Were they listening? He thought to himself. Haru walked over to the two kids and hugged them tightly. "You know?" They both nodded.

Haru felt something tear inside his chest, emotionally, as he saw his children crying. For a week they all mourned the loss of a family member. When the time for the funeral came no one had recovered even then. Especially not Yua.

The loss of her brother was too much that it took a toll on her. She did her best to be the mother she used to be but she didn't fully recover until two years later.

~2 years later~

Around this time was something no one in the family wished would have happened. Or thought would have happened either.

Nariko was playing baseball with some of her friends after school. She wanted her brother to play with them but he didn't want to. Every time she asked he turned her down. "Okay, but I'm not leaving until you hit the ball at least once," Nariko said to Inasa.

"Fine fine. Gimme that bat." He positioned his body and feet, looked at the pitcher, and when the ball came he hit it.

"Caught it!"

"Great! Now let's go Nariko," Inasa pulled her away.

"Inasa!"

"You'll thank me later."

"Wha- WHY?! HOW!?"

"Don't know. But you might thank me for not making you late and sparing you from being yelled at." She just grumbled beside her brother.

"I-Inasa?"

"What now?"

"I-, t-there's someone following us," she informed her brother but he didn't listen.

"Just keep on walking."

"N-no. Please just listen to me!" She teared from her brother's grasp and looked up at him. "There's someone following us," she told him sternly.

Inasa looked around but saw no one. "You're imagining things, Nariko."

"I'm not!"

"Yes you are."

"No I'm not!"

"Yes you are! Do you see anyone around here?!"

"But someone-" she stopped in her tracks. "I thought you were supposed to be my brother. Mom and dad always told you to protect me when I couldn't protect my self. Now you won't listen to me when I'm telling you someone is there! You bastard!!" Nariko started running on her own away from Inasa.

"Nariko!" Inasa clenched his fists in anger. "Why did you sa-" His body went frozen. High pitched screams filled his ears but the worse thing was that he knew who those screams belonged to.

Hus feet urged him to move, his body screamed and cursed at him, but he stayed frozen in the same spot. "INASA!!!" His sister screamed at the top of her lungs for her brother and that was the breaking point of him.

"Nariko!!" He ran to his sister, who was already a quarter of a mile away, in attempt to save her. Someone had her to knife point at the throat. Someone was following them earlier.

"Where's your father?" the guy asked. But he didn't know. When their father left he didn't pay attention to where he was going. Only Nariko and his mom knew. "You don't know? Shame, shame, shame."

"O-only I k-know," Nariko choked out.

"Oh really?"

"It's not like you already didn't know that with your quirk!" He started back at both of them but his mind was racing. Should I fight or not?

"I-Inasa." Tears had already started running down Nariko's face and when he saw those tears, he knew he would never see her again.

"Don't!"

"I love you big brother. Remember that," she said with a smile. Nariko grabbed the knife and cut off her own head. Blood pained the sidewalk as Nariko's head rolled onto the street, eyes dead of life.

Inasa just stared back at the blood then to his sister's head. Her body flat on the ground. "N-nariko." He couldn't save her. He was too late. "I'm sorry I didn't listen." His knees fell to the floor in front of the headless body.

Anger started filling his veins after a second. "YOU DAMN BASTARD!!!" Wind appeared around Inasa, so powerful it was like a tornado but controlled. "BECAUSE OF YOU MY SISTER IS DEAD!!" A weak whimper came out of the guy as he got up and tried to run away.

"I-I'm s-"

"Don't even try to apologize!" With Inasa's wind he took up the guy and blew him into where he knew a police station by a river was, hoping that he'd drown or taken to arrest. All he knew was that he never wanted to see his face again.

~later~

When Inasa told his parents about it they screamed in horror. He expected them to get mad at him or send him away, but they just hugged him and cried. They kept on telling him it wasn't his fault even though he felt so strongly that it was. He vowed to save anyone who was in danger the best he could without a thought after what happened to his sister.

But no matter how hard he worked, the horror of his headless and bloody sister never escaped him.

~back to present~

"So that's what happened," Jiro said finally understanding.

"Makes you see the guy more different I guess," Kaminari added.

Heavy footsteps started coming from down the hall. "Da-. Psyclone? Sir?" He ran right past the door everyone was in until he quickly turned back.

"Inasa-" He walked in the room and stared at everyone, smiling, until his eyes landed on a picture frame with his past whole family.

"You told them, didn't you?" No one could tell his emotion at the moment. "Didn't you?"
