LATER ON IN LIFE

She got up, put on some comfy clothes and Wrote a text to Hannah. It was 2:40 am.
Sara went for a late night walk. She soon came across a bridge and walked over it. Halfway to the edge she stopped and thought to herself , no one will miss me. She got up onto the ledge, bawling her eyes out because she knew the way she was gonna die was that she was going to do it herself. She closed her eyes and took deep breaths, in and out, taking in the smell of free nature that surrounded her. All she could hear was the world go by, the trees were dancing in the wind and the birds were chirping in their nests . She opened her eyes and she spoke to herself,

Goodbye cruel world...

And then, she jumped.hard. Like nothing mattered. Like nothing did matter. It was at least 2 hours until someone came and saw her lying down there, paralysed, emotionless, dead.

Hannah woke up, hearing loud, deafening sirens coming from outside her window. She was still half asleep. She looked at her phone and saw 1 notification from Sara. It read:

Hannah, it's early, I know, but I can't do this anymore. Life is so hard and I wish the pain would just end. I've decided to end it al, I'm going to go live up there with my parents. It's time for me to Runaway way, I love you... do me a favour and move on.

Hannah stared at the message trying to take in what just happened. She then realised Sara had wanted to do this for a while but didn't have the guts to do so. The heartbreak she felt, she had felt that she would never love anyone again. She felt heavy hearted. All different emotions bubbled up inside of her. She couldn't keep it in any longer. Soon she was full of emotions and she let out a big, bold , curdling scream. There was a thud. She dropped it the hard floor and screamed out her pain. She mother stumbled into the room, rushed over and gave her a big hug.

"What's happed my darling?" Her mother said softly.

"She's gone. She's gone and she's never coming back. I just wish I was with her."

They both sat on the cold floor as they held each other tight.

-1 month later-

Still devastated and still not able to cope with the traumatising loss of not only her best friend but also the love of her life, Hannah walked around all droopy and miserable around the streets at night. No traffic, people or anything around, just her and her thoughts. Feeling down and depressed, feeling no one could ever save her now, like how no one could've saved Sara.
She had the feeling of Drapetomania running through her blood. She pulled a gun out from her pocket; it felt cold like nitrogen gas. All she saw was the darkness. She steadily climbed up onto the ledge of the rustic bridge, finding her balance as she stood up. Her trembling hands up against her head, holding the gun tightly, trigger in place. She took the breeze of air into her lungs as this was the last time she would live, and it was. She pulled the trigger and BANG!!
Her life flashed before her eyes; all the birthdays, cake, hanging out with friends, telling her mother raft she loved her., the smell of pancakes and hot coffee in the morning and the desire of listening to her favourite song repeatedly was gone. She fell. She fell far. You couldn't see where she landed. She was lost. She drowned in her own pool of traumatic agony.
But to her, it felt like she was flying, high up into the top of the universe. She opened her eyes and there she was, right next to Sara. They both stared into each others eyes and both whispered,

I found you
