"And while Jaune can dance, he would be awkward the whole time. Nora would refuse to go without Ren. But I doubt Ren would want to go to a nightclub that doesn't seem to be his cup of tea."
"Why don't you and I go out for the night and have fun with the Mistal nightlife?" Yang finished looking at Weiss with a bright smile.
"Really? You want to take me? It seems like I'm your last resort when you list out everyone else reasons for not coming like that."
"Not at all, Weiss cream! It's more like explaining why you would be the best one to come with me. I can tell you want a moment of escapism too. Doubt you got that in Atlas, right?" Yang gave Weiss an easy smile and a wink, which made Weiss flush and smiled bashfully.
"All I would need to do is add some color to your very distinctive hair, and no one would know it's you, and we can have some fun for the night. I know even you can feel how tense things are; we need a night out. It's not like we're under lockdown from uncle Qrow and the old man? We can choose to stay inside all the time."
"I know I'm already getting stir crazy, and I've only been here a day and a half, and Ruby made it clear they have been here two weeks so far," Yang said.
"Well, they have been traveling for the last seven months; they are probably glad to rest for longer than six hours at a time and taking watch around a campfire," Weiss said, her mind thinking about how much they would've been through on their own for so long.
"Very logical guess, their snow princess!"
"Hey, what did we say about cruel nicknames?" Weiss said with an annoyed look on her face that seemed halfhearted.
"We would use nicknames until you got used to them. Now let's get ready to party!"
"I didn't agree to go!" Weiss said.
"But you didn't say no to it either. From you? That's pretty much a yes." Yang said with her famous sunny smile.
"I'll get the hair dye. Knowing Ren? He probably has some handy for his own hair. I'll pay him back for the dye I borrow for your hair for tonight." Yang said rather thoughtfully.
"It seems like you're going through a lot of trouble just for a night out," Weiss said with a raised eyebrow.
"We escaped my bandit leader mother together. And you had to go back to Schnee manor. I doubt it was roses there." Yang said, her voice sounding sympathetic.
"I would rather be lost in the woods with Ruby and the gang struggling and sleeping in the mud. Being stuck with my father forced me to be his show pony for his elite friends and business partners. I have another album out now;" Weiss shook her head. It was unreal to any other musician that would sound great, but you know the whole thing is done under duress and not a choice when you know the reality.
"Well, get ready if you want, we can buy some clothes before we go to the club," Weiss said. Neither of them thought they would dress the part with what they had in their bags.
They spent the rest of the morning shopping the beauty of the Weiss while not being the heiress anymore wasn't being financially cut off.
"My mother had an idea of what I'm doing. I left her a letter about why I was leaving and didn't want to, but I was needed. For something important, I hinted at something to the level of what happened at Beacon." Yang nodded along, listening intently.
"My mother is a lot of things, but she still had a sense of justice, even after things that had happened," Weiss said there was some pride there for her mother.
"The credit card makes it seem like the purchases were happening in Atlas and might make my father question his decision about choosing my little brother." A rather malicious smile rose on Weiss's face.
