I read the same sentence over again, unable to concentrate. Groaning, I set down the book and walk to the window. The view from my apartment is a pleasant one of the city at night.
Buildings rise high above the bustling streets. The blinding lights- from cars, traffic lights, lamp posts, signs, and hotels -below make it difficult to see the stars that I could once before.
I walk along the sidewalk, taking in the Christmas lights near Towne Square. A small restaurant that's tucked in the corner catches my gaze and I suddenly feel hungry.
