Hi! This is my first Wattpad story so it's either going to be boring, rubbish, or both! Anyway this story was based off a slew of lines I had to say in a play I was just in at the local theatre. So if you've ever acted in "The Internet is a Distrac- Oh Look a Kitten!" You'll recognize the phrases Moon Jail. I'm getting off topic, I had fun making this, it was supped to be a light hearted romantic comedy but u gave them trauma so now it's this, have fun!
Drink water it's good for you! And get some sleep!
"Mick, MickMickMick, Mickeyyyyy!"
"What! What do you want Cora," Mickey said shutting their laptop.
"I want food, it's like 8pm and we haven't eaten. You've just been staring at your screen for like two hours... so I want food let's go eat out or something." Cora replied, it was 8 o' clock and the friends had yet to eat just as she'd said.
"You up for walking to Jason's, it's cheap and quick so you can go back to staring."
"I wasn't staring I was reading something you obviously have never done, and yes I know, food, we can get it soon. Sun doesn't set for another hour or so, so I guess we could go to Jason's," Mickey contemplated leaving the apartment. Then he remembered that he actually was hungry so food didn't sound to bad.
"Grab your shit we're going to get food," They finally said giving in to the thought of Jason's pasta and bread. Cora jumped with excitement and ran to the door calling dibs on handling the money. Mick was quick to grab the cash back knowing she'd spend it all on meatballs or something.
Jason's wasn't a long walk from they're apartment however the streets they had to go through got creepier at night than they should be so walking alone at night was still pretty scary. Though soft blue light of the floating lamps was enough to give comfort through the night. Jason's restaurant wasn't quite a restaurant but not quite fast food. He made it quickly but it was nice enough to take someone for a date. That fact constantly weighed in the back of Mickey's head more than he'd like it to. As the duo approached the food place Cora grabbed Mick's hand and pulled them ahead.
"Yo Core slow down it's not going to disappear," Mickey said hastily.
"You know it might thought that's the thing. He might've gotten one of those floating platforms things to take his business higher up," She said still pulling him along. She threw the door open and loudly announced she was starving. Mickey now red with embarrassment pinched the bridge of his nose and motioned for her to just take a seat. She walked over to a seat in the corner. She called this the curvy seat, their seat, the curvy seat is where they spent so many summer nights talking and laughing with friends. They both smiled at the shared thought but it faded as soon as it came.
"Guess that's gone now, ha it's just us now," Mickey said their solemn voice trying to push a laugh. The world got a lot quieter staring at the seat. Lost memories coming to light. It was suffocating. The words didn't sound of this world and what was just now seemed so far away. He couldn't focus or snap out of it. "Great we're here now, wonderful. Come on we need to sit down," They didn't sit. They didn't do anything. He stared at the edge of the seat brain telling him to move but nothing happening. "Come on, not now, not here again."
"Hey don't go there, we're here for food not therapy, we have that on Thursday's," Cora smiled. Mickey's eye bringing back life. He blinked and quickly sat down embarrassed for a second time. She rubbed her friends back reminding him why they're there.
