Nathan and you have been on and off for a while, mostly because you weren't extremely ready for a relationship with him because he had a reputation of just up and leaving people. You just felt that he was lying about him loving you and it made you super paranoid, especially when you and him hung around Kelly and Simon. Nathan is a big flirt but he's a huge flirt towards Kelly and Simon, you weren't sure why but it made you jealous because he paid more attention to them than you.
Eventually you just called it quits with him for a while and you saw him less and less every single day and it struck you as odd. You brushed it over and continued your duties with Simon before you heard a small voice and you turned to Simon and saw that he was the one talking.
"What did you say, Simon?" You ask softly as you put another can into your trash bag, waiting for a response from the other.
"Nathan has been acting weird... He isn't his..normal self" He muttered as he grabbed a new trash bag, it being his 3rd one he had filled.
"Well, it's not like I care. He seems fine to me." You shrug as you go back to minding your own business. Simon looked like he wanted to say something, but he kept to himself as he looked over to the side to see Nathan kicking a can on the sidewalk.
Nathan sighed softly as he kicked his can before Kelly hit him upside the head and he yelped in pain.
"Ow! What the hell!" Nathan cussed before being hit again and Kelly's voice making an appearance.
"Go make up with ya fucking boyfriend already. Ya both look fucking misserrable, you're litteraly kicking a can for fucks sake. You've even got Simon worried" Kelly said in an annoyed tone and Nathan just whined.
"Barry's always worried, plus I'm completely fine. He was the one who wanted to break things off..." Nathan said with sadness lacing his voice before Kelly sighed softly.
"Look Nathan, as much as I hate ya. I hate to see you and Y/A upset alright. Plus I read his thoughts, he thought you weren't showing him enough attention. He just felt lonely because you paid more attention to me and Simon." Kelly admitted before walking off with an aggravated huff. Nahtan looked dumbfounded as he looked over at Simon and Y/N. He decided to listen to Kelly and he walked over to you two, but he instantly regretted it when he got there because it felt extremely awkward with you 3 in the same area.
"Um...I'll go get us some drinks" Simon said quickly before leaving you and Nathan alone together. You looked at Nathan and huffed.
"What do you want? I thought you had better things to do like, jerk off or something" You said simply as you look at him.
"I mean I will eventually, but it doesn't feel right without you. It just feels dry and messy without you and that's not two things that go hand in hand." He chuckled nervously as you rolled your eyes.
"Look, Nathan. Why did you never pay attention to me, I felt like you didn't love me and if I'm being honest you probably don't" You said before you see Nathan bring you close.
"It's easier to ignore your feelings rather than confront them. I'm no good with sappy shit alright, shit." Nathan admitted and it made you chuckle softly. "I do love you Y/N. My dumb imortal ass just doesn't know how to show lovey dovey shit." Nathan shrugged softly.
"I just want to be with you Y/N. You're like the only person that has made me think about all this shit so in depth, so Y/N. Will you be my boyfriend for like the 3rd time?" Nathan asked as he held out his hand and you gladly accepted him with a loving roll of your eyes.
"Alright, but on one condition. I want to sleep with you in the community centre and I mean in sleeping, not sex." You say sternly and it made Nathan chuckle mischievously.
"Well alright, but no promises~" Nathan teases and you shove him slightly, making him fake whine and he pretends to be hurt before he smiles cockily and leans into you.
"Well, how does it feel to be the boyfriend of the hottest man on earth?" You ask like a reporter.
"Feels like the best thing in the world." Nathan said before softly kissing you and you both smile into the kiss, melting into each other's touch.
"I missed that" Nahtan said after breaking away from the kiss and leading you into the community centre, you both sitting down on a bench inside.
"Same" You say simply before kissing him again. You finally felt happy once more.
