Prompt of Affirmation

"I kept insisting that there was still hope."

I had to accept that the person that once my home, my warmth, my light, already gave up on me. I kept holding on, not afraid to bleed myself dry but the thing was, I already don't have something to grab. Memories gradually becoming blur, your laughs were already vanishing through my mind but remnants of your warmth was still in my heart.

I could not fathom the thought of you with someone else but if it makes you happy, then I'll let you go. If you're happy, then I am happy. I am hoping that you find a lot of reasons to stay in that relationship. This end might be the best for us. I'll accept the pain as I slowly let you go.

My arms cannot hold you anymore but my prayers can...our promise can. Take care. I will always love you. Your favorite human is now signing off.
