Chapter 1

"Well then you would be king" I said.

"And you would be Queen"

As we walked in the dinning room, Thor was screaming, he was angry at his father. He had flipped a table before walking towards the stairs and sitting down.

Loki and I sat next to him.

"It's unwise to be in my company right now. This was to be my day of triumph" Said Thor still angry.

"It'll come, in time"

As lady Sif and the warrior three walked in the room, they noticed the mess Thor had made.

"What's this ?"

"If it's any consolation, I think you're right. About the Frost Giants, about Laufey, about everything. If they found a way to penetrate Asgard's defences once, who's to say they won't try again ? Next time with an army. There's nothing you can do without defying father" As Loki finished, Thor got up from his seat.

"No, no, no. I know that look" Loki said, slightly concerned.

"That's the only way to ensure the safety of our borders" Said Thor loudly.

"Thor that's madness" I said.

"Madness ? What sort of madness ?" Asked Volstagg.

"We're going to Jotunheim" Said Thor, proudly.

"What ?" Said Volstagg.

"This isn't like a journey to earth, where you summon a little lightning and thunder, and the mortals worship you as a god. This is Jotunheim." Said Fandral.

"My father fought his way into Jotunheim, defeated their armies and took their casket. We would just be looking for answers"

"It is forbidden !" Said Lady Sif strictly.

"My friends, have you forgotten all that we have done together ?" Said Thor while walking towards the warriors.

"Fandral, Hogun. Who led you into the most glorious battles ?" Asked Thor in a happy tone.

"You did" Answered Hogun.

As Thor continued to convince the warriors to join him on his trip, I turned to Loki and whispered in his ear so that the others wouldn't hear.

"You knew he would react like this. Why did you do it ?"

"Well, I think Asgard deserves a better king" He said

As the warriors walked out of the room, Loki shared his plan.

"I want you to tell Odin that I sent you to expose Thor"

"He's your brother, why are you doing this ?"

"Have you never realized that Odin favours Thor over me ? Over you ?"

"You want to become king ?"

"Obviously. Think about it, if I were to be crowned King of this kingdom, you would become Queen. Doesn't that sound great ? Just think about it. Queen Y/N of Asgard, Goddess of love"

"You know that I do not seek power Loki" I sighed.

He looked at me with a saddened look.

"Alright, I'll do it. But I'm not doing it to become Queen, I'm doing it because I know that Thor will need help. I don't want him to get himself killed" I said.

"That's the Y/N I know. I must get going now. Go see Odin once we leave" He quickly kissed me and left.

I looked outside a window and waited for the Bifrost to activate. When it did, I ran to the throne room where Frigga and Odin were talking.

I opened the door as they both looked at me.

"What is it Y/N ?" Asked Odin, slightly concerned.

"It's Thor, Allfather. He's gone to Jotunheim. Loki told me, he told me to tell you. Thor is joined by the Warrior Three and Lady Sif. Loki went with them to assure their safety"

Odin made his way to the Bifrost as fast as he could. He was mad at Thor for ignoring his direct orders.

When I had arrived at the bifrost Odin was already gone.

"Are they alright Heimdall ?" I asked.

"Fandral has been hurt, but everyone else is alright" Said Heimdall, waiting patiently for the moment Odin would give him a signal to bring everyone back.

Soon enough everyone came back. I ran towards Loki and hugged him.

"Why did you bring us back ?" Asked Thor clearly not happy with his father's choice.

"Do you realize what you've done ? What you've started ?" Shouted Odin.

"I was protecting my home"

"You cannot even protect your friends ! How can you hope to protect a kingdom ? Get him to the healing room now !" Screamed Odin as he removed the Bifrost's sword and threw it at Heimdall.

Fendrall was escorted to the healing room by the warriors.

"There won't be a kingdom to protect if you're afraid to act !" Thor tried to stay calm but he was obviously struggling.

Thor, Odin, Loki, Heimdall and I were the only ones left in the Bifrost.

"The Jotuns must learn to fear me just as they once feared you"

"That's pride and vanity talking, not leadership. You've forgotten everything I taught you about a warrior's patience"

"While you wait and be patient, the nine realms will laugh at us. The old ways are done. You'd stand giving speeches while Asgard falls" Screamed Thor, loosing his composure.

"You are a vain, greedy, cruel boy !" Odin said, screaming louder.

"And you are an old man and a fool !" Answered back Thor.

"Yes, I was a fool to think you were ready" Odin said as he looked down.

"Father" Loki intercepted.

Odin shouted at him.

I held Loki close to me. He understood that he should not intercept.

"Thor Odinson, you have betrayed the express command of your king. Through your stupidity and arrogance, you've opened these peaceful realms and innocent lives to the horrors and desolation of war."

Odin used his spear to open the Bifrost and began ripping off Thor's armour.

"You are unworthy of these realms ! You're unworthy of your title ! You're unworthy of the loved ones you have betrayed !"

Thor looked at Loki and I. We could not do anything in this situation. Loki held me closer to him as a way to express his disappointment towards his brother.

"I now take from you your power" Said Odin, summoning Mjolnir.

"In the name of my father and his father before" As Odin continued talking, Thor's armour slowly disappeared.

"I, Odin Allfather, cast you out !"

Odin used Mjolnir to push Thor into the Bifrost. He then threw Mjolnir in the Bifrost with Thor.

Odin left the Bifrost, leaving once again, Loki and I alone.

"Did you know ?" I asked.

He looked down before answering, slightly ashamed to admit what he had caused.

"I did. I didn't think he would banish him" Loki said.

I sighed.

"I did this for you. For us. With Thor out of the way I'm next in line for the throne" Loki said.
