neville pulled the sword of gryffindoor out the hat. and then the unexpected happen, harry threw himself out of hagrids arms and just like that

war started again

everyone broke out, running every direction, shooting spells as they did. i followed hermione and ron back inside the castle

i spotted harry talking to dobby down the hall

"harry you absolute git, do you know how scared i was"

before he could answer, a group of deatheaters surrounded us

"where is he?" narcissa asked harry

"draco, where is he" bellatrix yelled

"dead." is all harry said

everyone raised their wands, bellatrix let out a groan of frustration before saying something in parseltounge, and just like that all the deatheaters blew into a cloud of smoke, taking us with them

after a few seconds of dizzy black clouds everything froze

"ENOUGH!" bellatrix yelled. she had her wand to my throat as hermione, ron and harry battled deatheaters

everyone froze is their spots, including the deatheaters. bellatrix mumbled something and then they all left. leaving just narcissa, lucius, bellatrix and my mum

"what did you do to him?" narcissa asked

"hey! are you going to leave the rest of us out this little reunion?" neville yelled from behind, he was standing with luna and ginny. assuming this reunion was when we were getting the prophecy

and just like that, spells were flying, bellatrix dropped me from her grip as neville shot at her

"y/n" harry yelled out "i have to go, stay close to them, i'll be back before you know it!" he ran off without another word

narcissa, lucius and my mum all apparated away knowing there was now way out of this other than death, cowards

bellatrix and neville dueled it out, neville winning with a proud grin on his face. he shot her with a spell, causing her to freeze and become super pale

"that was for my dad, and this one, is for my mum"

he shot her again, this time, she fell into a pile of ash. we all turned and smiled proudly at neville. i ran and pulled him into a hug

"you did it neville, you finally avenged them like you wanted to"

"i killed snape!" voldemort yelled

"but what if the wand never belonged to snape? what if it's allegiance was always to someone else? come one tom, let's finish this the way we started, together" i grabbed his neck and threw myself off the tower, him falling with me

i made sure to keep a good, tight grip on him. once he gets himself out of here, i need to go with him. otherwise, i'll end up dead for real this time. just as i hoped, he apparated both of us to the courtyard, we ended on different sides

a wand was close to me, but it wasn't the one i was using

i crawled to get it as quick as i could, i got it just in time. our spells met at the middle, just like it did years ago in the courtyard, he was winning, the curse inching closer to me

i felt a sharp and familiar pain in my chest, the last horcrux was just destroyed

we both fell to the ground in pain, we both were to quick to jump up, our spells hit once more, only i was winning. he was finally weak enough for me to win

the elder wand flew out of his hand, right into mine. he fell to his knees, screaming and crumbling as he did

it's over

he's finally dead

voldemort is dead

i walked into the great hall, applause erupted as i did. i walked towards the back where i saw the weasleys, moony, hermione, but no y/n

i looked around for her, but i couldn't find her

"where is she? where is y/n?" i asked ron

"i'm over here!"

i turned around and saw y/n sitting with colins brother, dennis, he was crying on her shoulder, mourning the death of his brother, his best friend

she looked up and smiled to me, mouthing the words

you did it

i sat next to her, as we looked at the great hall that was now in shreds

i watched as y/n laid in the grass as juniper and valerie put flowers in her hair. i went over and sat next to them

"and this one is for marina" valerie placed a lily and y/n's baby bump

"you're going to get your dress dirty" hermione laughed as she approached with ron, moony and teddy, neville were following behind

we all sat around in a circle, living carefree, after so many years of running and worry. we finally got out happily ever after
