if feels like he's been gone for years. the seconds turn into minutes turn into hours. i sat in the front steps of the school, waiting for him to walk through the front gates
"would you like some company?" a voice asked from behind
i turned around and saw ron, hermione, neville, dean, seamus and moony standing there. i nodded my head slowly. they all moved and sat next to me. i rested my head on nevilles shoulder as we all waited
rumbling, laughing and talked was heard in the distance, i stood up and saw voldemort and his army approaching. everyone who was once inside what was left of the school was now outside. a large crowd filled with everyone waited as they slowly approached
voldemort and bellatrix had huge grins on their face. i turned and looked a hagrid, who was carrying harry
no no no no
"harry potter is dead!" voldemort announced happily
it felt like my world crumbled
i felt the tears pour out of my eyes. this isn't real, this is all a dream, it's not real
"harry potter is dead! from this day forth, you put your faith in me. harry potter is dead!" voldemort said proudly, again
"y/n" a voice cooed from the opposite side
"y/n, come my love" my mother said as she stepped forward
i stood my ground, there's no way i would. i felt someone place their hand on my shoulder, i looked up and saw moony
"you blood traitor!" bellatrix yelled
"you're just like your father, disgusting" my mother spat
"enough" voldemort spat, someone was mad the attention wasn't on him "it's now time to declare yourself, come forward and join us"
i twirled the ring on my finger that harry gave me last year as i scanned the crowd. no one moved
"or die"
neville limped forward with the sorting hat in his hand
"i must say I hoped for better" voldemort said causing the deatheaters around him to start cackling "and who might you be young man?"
"neville longbottom"
everyone started laughing again
"well neville i'm sure we can find a place for you in our ranks-"
"i'd like to say something" neville interrupted
"i'm sure we'd al be fascinated to hear what you have to say"
"it's doesn't matter that harrys gone"
"neville please" i begged
"people die every day, friends and family. yeah, we may have lost harry today but he still with us" neville pointed to his chest " in here. so is colin, tonks and everyone else we lost today. they didn't die in vain, but you will. because you're wrong. harrys heart did best for us! for all of us this is n out over!"
