A Golden Dawn

It was 9:30 am and the sun was shining through the fine drapery. The windows glistening, and a girl with green hair went to the windows and drew open the drapes.

"Ah, much better," she said. She adjusted her glasses and fixed some flowers in a vase. Her expression calm with a soft smile.

"Letoile! Why are you working so early for?!" Relax and loosen up a little!" A guy behind her said with a smug grin.

Letoile turned around and looked at the guy and chuckled.

"The point of morning duties, David, is that you get up early to do them. Now go and make sure everyone is up and ready for breakfast please."

"Understood ma'ma!" David said, his grin still smug. He turned around and went down the hallway. He waltzed with a spring in his step. He knocked on a door that had flowery designs all around it.

"Mimosa-chan!" Are you up? Breakfast is about to be served!"

David stood by the door waiting. There was a loud thud. Inside Mimosa tripped on her covers trying to get out of her bed.

"J-Just a minute please!"

David chuckled a bit and walked off. Inside the room, Mimosa got up and went to closet to get dressed. She had an exasperated look on her face. She didn't expect David to knock on her door so early.

"Ahhh, I'm still getting used to these early mornings."

The Golden Dawn squad always has breakfast at 10:30 am every morning. Mimosa isn't the best at waking up in the morning like Klaus and Yuno are. She sighed heavily and changed out of her pajamas. After getting dressed, she left her room and headed towards the dining area. She still felt a bit groggy, but seeing her other squad mates and seniors perked her up a little. She saw Klaus and Yuno standing besides Hamon and Alecdora. Bell was also there floating by Yuno.

"Mimosa! Over here!" Klaus waved at her. Yuno gave her a soft smile. His hair as mess as ever. Mimosa wonders if he ever brushes it. She rushed over beside them.

"S-sorry I'm late!"

"It's okay. We just got here as well. The chefs are still preparing breakfast," Klaus said, adjusting his glasses.

"I got Yuno up all by myself because he's a big sleepyhead!" Bell said proudly. Yuno shook his head and stuck out his tongue.

"Did not."

Mimosa laughed a little. She enjoyed Yuno and Klaus's company a lot. It made her days in the Golden Dawn so much fun. David and Letoile were the last to arrive.

"Is everyone present?" Letoile said.

"Everyone's here, so let's eat already," Hamon said impatiently.

"Wait, we're missing Vice Captain Langris!" Alecdora said.

Yuno rolled his eyes. He found it funny how Vice Captain Langris can show up later than anyone else, but they cannot be late. Everyone looked around. Langris is never late for breakfast.

"What should we do? Is he still asleep?"

"But he's always the first one up."

Everyone was murmuring with each other. Mimosa looked worried. There can't be anything wrong with him, right? He can't be sick or hurt. Mimosa raised her hand.

"Is it alright if we go check on him? Just to make sure he isn't sick?"

Yuno and Klaus looked at Mimosa. Yuno's brows furrowed. Letoile looked at them and nodded her head.

"Go ahead, but be back when breakfast is served."

Mimosa nodded her head and her, Klaus, Yuno headed towards Langris's room. No one was ever allowed to go into his room, or else they'd get yelled at by Langris. Klaus and Mimosa walked slowly down the hall like they were sneaking, looking afraid. Yuno, one the other hand, was more calm. His brows were furrowed though. He walked up to the door which was slightly open for some reason.

"W-Why is his door open? Is something wrong?" Klaus whispered. He adjusted his glasses nervously. Mimosa gulped and shook her head. Yuno rolled his eyes and walked up to the cracked door. His eyes widened by what he saw.

Langris was standing over his dresser, hands clutching the top. His face was beet red and he was wearing this formal outfit with a red bow tie. His expression seemed exasperated like he was flustered.

Yuno cleared his throat loudly, and Langris snapped his head towards the door. His face becoming even redder. He walked towards the door, swung it wide open and looked up at Yuno, looking angry.

"What is it?! Can't you see I'm busy?"

Yuno raised his brow. Mimosa and Klaus stepped forward behind Yuno. Bell angrily floated towards Langris, but Yuno stopped her.

"Breakfast is about to be served. Letoile sent us here to get you."

"W-Well I'm busy at the moment. I'll be a little late."

"Is there something wrong Vice Captain Langris? Are you sick, your face is really red." Mimosa said.

Langris turned his head, twirling his hair. He couldn't come up with an answer. It's like the words wouldn't come out. Mimosa and Klaus looked confused. Yuno smiled a bit. He figured it out.

"Oh yeah, Asta did mention that he had a date with you today. He told me a week ago. He seemed really excited." Yuno said with a sly smile. Langris's eyes widened and he became more flustered. Mimosa became all giddy and Klaus was shocked.

"That's why you're wearing this strange outfit!" Klaus said.

Langris glared at them. He outfit wasn't strange. He just wanted to look his best for Asta. He blushed thinking about Asta's smile. Asta always seemed to like what he's wearing, but he felt so nervous about their first date. Langris looked down.

"I-I'm sorry for yelling. I just wanted to make a good first impression for my boyfriend."

"Aww you should have told us Vice Captain! We can help you if you'd like! I'm sure Asta will be happy with any outfit you choose!" Mimosa looked pumped. Her eyes sparkling.

"Uhhh maybe we should after breakfast everyone", Klaus said.

The breakfast table was set with a buffet of food. Everyone was seated including Captain William Vangeance himself. Hamon was chowing down on everything nearby. Langris was still quite nervous. What if Asta thinks his outfit is hideous? What if he's not happy? He looked down, not touching his food.

William took notice. He looked at Langris with a deep expression.

"Is there something the matter, Vice Captain Langris? You haven't touched your breakfast."

Everyone looked over at him which made Langris even more nervous. He didn't want to look weak in front of his squad members. He continued to look down. William became confused. Yuno, sitting besides Langris, gave Mimosa and Klaus a nod.

"Our Vice Captain has a date planned with his boyfriend Asta today. He's quite shy about it," Yuno told William. Langris's face turned red.

William was taken aback. Everyone smiled happily.

"Wow Langris, you're quite the stud aren't you?" Hamon said, his mouth full.

David winked. "Well I guess Asta is one lucky boy to be going on a date with you."

"Well that's very nice Langris. I do hope you and Asta enjoy your date. No need to be shy about it. We're all happy for you," William said gleefully. Everyone smiled at Langris. He was still a bit anxious, but he felt a little better knowing his squad members were supporting him.
