Distant Pictures

Another normal day.

Sitting alone, reading a magazine.

My eyes start to sway,

As I gaze at the pictures.

I find my eyes locking,

With another set.

My mind is blocking,

She’s merely printed.

I feel an attraction,

As she seemingly speaks to me.

There is no reaction,

When I can’t hear a voice.

These are distant pictures,

A girl I’ve never met, yet so close.

I continue staring at her.

The faces she makes,

Whenever we’re together.

She’s emotionless.

She’s a different type,

Never speaks to anyone else.

I start to gripe,

When she starts staring.

I feel an attraction,

As she seemingly speaks to me.

There is no reaction,

When I can’t hear a voice.

These are distant pictures,

A girl I’ve never met, yet so close.
