Yes, it's possible for you to publish your book. There are several examples of kids under the age of 18 successfully publishing their novels. Here are a few:

--Flavia Bujor wrote THE PROPHECY OF THE STONES when she was 12 and published it with HarperCollins when she was 14.

--Nancy Yi Fan started SNOWBIRD when she was 11, finished it when she was 12, and was published by HarperCollins when she was 14.

--Jake Marcionette wrote JUST JAKE when he was 12, and I believe it was published the same year. It hit the New York Times bestseller list.

--Jyoti and Suresh Guptara finished the first draft of CONSPIRACY OF CALASPIA when they were 11. It was published when they were 17 -- after 10! rewrites.

Age isn't, in and of itself, a huge factor in publishing. Publishers (and readers) want a great story, and they don't care if you're 15 or 50. The only caveat is that if you're under the age of 18, you can't sign a contract. Your parents will have to do that.

You CAN publish your book.

Did this chapter answer a question you had? It would be great if you would press that little star graphic in the top right corner. If not, just carry on reading and vote for one you find more helpful. Oh, I'd be happy to answer your questions in the comments below, as well. --XG
