Dr Shalini raised her head to check who is on door....
And her face expression changed as she saw the visitor at the door.
Her face twitched and she tried to hide her emotions.
"Tum"
She comments
"May I come in.... Mamm.
He emphasized on the word mamm...
To which she rolled her eyes....
"What are you doing here"
She asked pretending to be displeased by his sudden appearance....
He made a cool walk towards her table and got dumped on the chair.
"Chill.... Doc....
Propose karne nahi aya hun"
He gave a witty remark... To which she made an annoying face again.
"Then why are you here"
She asked closing the file kept in from of her.
"Coffee peene"
He replied calmly
"Cadet .... I mean Lt sahani.... Main"
She was again interupetd by him
"Off OOO relax
Date ke liye nahi puch raha hun....
Yahi peeni hai ... Mess ki sadi hui coffee..."
Shalini again made a face and he gave a stupid smile...
"Please..... mamm....."
Shalini picked up the receiver and ordered two coffee.
"Don't tell me
Tum delhi se char ghante drive karke yaha kma...coffee peene aye ho"
She interrogated
"Nope
I came to see you"
He said with honesty in his eyes and tone....
Making Shalini's heart skip a beat....
But she tried not to react.
"Tum phir shuru ho gaye"
She said trying to find something beneath the files.
"Apne shuru hone hi kaha diya hai.."
He said making a sulking face and Shalini was about to bash him when the orderly came with two coffee mugs...
"Coffee piyo and be gone"
She said taking her own cup.... While he took the other one...
"Ap mujhe dekhte se hi itna bhadak kyun jati ho...

She was about to say it but stopped
She doesn't want to complete the sentence....
Ud gave a suppress smile and continue with his coffee....
While she too remain quite
Once the coffee was done
He took out a packet from her bag and presented it to her...

She asked as she took the bag
"Pure pashmina"
From Manali.... Last posting wahi ki thi na.
"Ud main ye nahi le sakti"
"Shawl hai... Mera dil nahi"
He teased her winking at her ... And she made an angry face...
"Ohh god....

I know apke divorce ki last hearing ho gayi hai
And you finally signed the papers...
Ab mujhe to ap ye haq dogi nahi , to comfort you in this unpleasant time...
Phir maine socha ke main nahi to ye shawl sahi... To comfort you ... Ab is shawl ne apka kya bigada hai...

And she couldn't resist with that last line and gave a gleeful chukle....
He can make her laugh no matter how tense the situation is.
She accepted the shawl
Trying hard not to smile much... And give away her secrets.
Ud finally grinned too...
"I Missed you"
He said with soft emotions and looked down before continuing....
While she felt a strange emotion hearing that....
I miss you
Such a small expression
Still it means so much...
She had always yearned to hear it from her husband... Vikrant...
But never received any gesture of kindness and love....
Ud never fails to win her heart everytime...
But she is too tired to give love another chance.

She was unable to hide her concern makin his heart flutter.

And Shalini gave a sigh of relief.
Quickly covering it up with a strict face again....
"Well that's it
I should leave now"
He said as he got up and she raised from her chair too....
"Be safe
And keep me updated about your whereabouts...."
She couldn't resist but say it
And he nodded
"By.... Mamm"
He again said the word mam with a mischief grinn and left .... And she smiled there standing in the empty room..
