All four of the boys sit in the meeting room of Rocket Falls Industry "I hate band meetings so much, it's the worst part of being in a band." The bubblegum-haired one states. "Fucking Agreed." The blueish-teal-haired boy states. I'm kind of surprised that they haven't noticed me here yet, I'm just standing in the doorway.
"Move outta the way, kid." The manager says. He's tall like really fucking tall, 6'9 or something. Seeing as I'm only 5'2, it's not hard to be taller than me. "Everyone! Meet the new member of Rocket Falls Industry and yall's band, Aspen. I shyly pee around the manager, Dave, and wave. "Hello," I manage to stutter out. I wave of hi and hellos fill the room. They introduce themselves and what they do based on their height.
The blue-teal-haired boy is first, "Kori, Guitarist." then the bubblegum one "Marshall! I play the drums, it's really nice to meet you, Asp!" "You too!" I reply shyly. Next up is the purple-haired guy, he strikes me as different, his eyes, they're red, like actually red. "Uh, I'm Virgil, I play the Keyboard," He blushes and looks down. Lastly is the I guess the main singer of the group, his hair is black to blue, and green almost emerald eyes. "Gray, lead singer." He pugs his chest out proudly, as soon as he had the chance to do that Kori slapped him on the back and his posture went back to normal.
I immediately felt two things: pride and fear. So many thoughts were running through my head that I couldn't focus on what Dave was saying. The few thoughts I could pick out from the sea of thoughts were: "You're not good enough" and "You made it big Asp, this is amazing." It's a scary feeling, being in a new place, with all these people who are way more popular than you on a universal level.
After the meeting, Marshall and Virgil offer to take me out to a bar but I tell them that I'm not quite 21 yet, I'm 20 and 8 months. They insist that we still hang out, I say yes.
