The students this year had learned how to handle crisis situations in many city environments, so today would be focused on how hero work went in a more spread out and less populated area. Thus, everyone was off to Hakone!
Sure it wasn't the most desolate area in Japan, but those places tended to do just fine with a police force. Hakone was the perfect place to take a field trip because of two factors: its tourism attraction, and that it wasn't a huge metropolitan. Therefore, it often led to some conflicts between locals, and tourists... as well as some light crime.
The trip would take about an hour and a half to arrive if traffic was in your favor. So with the students all talking and laughing amicably with one another, you fell into a peaceful daydream while looking out the window. The city soon evaporated and the vast greenery appeared.
Travel went by fast and sooner than you or the student knew it, you all were pulling into a parking lot. Everyone got off and groups were quickly formed. You looked at your group as they talked and laughed waiting for a pause in the conversation to start your little group tour.
"Are we ready to start?" You asked and noticed the six girls all eagerly nod.
You looked at your timetable and saw that every group would be at one of six different locations at a time and would rotate around. Lunch at the halfway point and then letting the students have an hour to sightsee before they all got back on the bus. It shouldn't be too hard.
"Looks like we get to start at the local hero agency!" You smiled. "Apperently its one of the only two in the entire village!"
Their eyes seemed curious and interested at this, as the girls were used to their being agencies all over the place. But in Hakone, there were only two: one on the northern side of town and one on the south.
Thus your day as a chaperone began: visiting both agencies, the local police station, the town hall, the local paper, and finally the tourism office. It was busy, but your group of girls all were well behaved and asked good questions.
Lunch was served at a local mall, letting the students pick and choose what they wanted to eat from several eateries and even do a little shopping if they finished early. But after what felt like a quick seven hours, your group was moving to the meet-up point. It was time for them to get their hour of tourism and more shopping.
You had all just finished at the southern agency and were making your way along the street to the parking lot you had started at that was near the mall. The girls all chatted behind you as you led them down the street. The autumn chill in the air made you shiver, but you merely buried your nose further into the jacket you had one.
A sudden scream ripped through the air, making you pause. The girls behind you all paused as well, shock and even a little fear crossing over their faces. Your eyes widened as, before you, a group of men looked to be snagging civilians. One of them was tossing something from his hands, causing the glass windows of the buildings around them to shake and shatter from whatever his quirk was.
"A villain attack?" Jirou blinked, positioning herself into a defensive stance.
"It seems we can't go anywhere without running into them!!" Tooru swung her arms around.
"We need to help the civilians!" Kendou spoke, Yaoyorozu nodded beside her.
"Sensei! What should we do?" The tall ravenette asked you.
You blinked and shook your head, pointing to a side street. The girls looked at you in shock and confusion. You merely smirked and let out a tiny chuckle.
"The best plan of action is for you all to take the side streets and let the agencies in this area know what is happening. As well as reach our group and let the teachers know what's happening. Each of you partner up and go to one of the three I just told you about!"
"B-But sensei! What about you?" Shiozaki's voice held concern.
You reached out and flicked her temple and then pointed to yourself. The girls watched you with awe as you smiled widely and winked towards them.
"Just because I'm a counselor doesn't mean I can't fight! Believe in your senseis and hurry and do what I asked! Time is of the essence here!" You called and the girls nodded before taking off.
You heaved in a breath, glad your words had worked. You refused to let them get hurt or exposed to another violent situation. And while you knew you might not stand a chance against so many villains with powerful quirks and hostages... all you had to do was buy time until backup could get here.
You tore open your jacket, revealing your hero costume underneath, and raced forward. As the men saw you approaching they tightened their grips around the hostages. Some of them held knives or guns to their heads, others held their open palms, meaning they would resort to using their quirks on these poor people if you were not careful.
But despite the number of people held hostage and how you were greatly outnumbered... you did have one thing to your advantage!
"Huh?" One of the thugs rose a brow. "Who the hell are you, lady?"
Your saving grace... these people didn't know who you were... and thus didn't know what your quirk was or when you were using it.
"I'm a hero who was visiting today." You spoke, slowly starting to allow a pheromone of calmness and agreeability through the air.
"We have no business with an outsider!" Another thug shouted, pushing his gun more into the head of a teenage girl. "So leave this to the people we have a bone to pick with!"
You nodded slowly, magnifying your quirk. "I understand and I am not keen to fight either. But perhaps... we can negotiate you all letting those people go."
The first thug smirked and shoved the elderly man he was holding onto the ground. You watched as the thug put his hand onto the old man's head and started to use his quirk. In an instant, blood burst from his eyes, ears, nose, and more.
"Stop it!" You screamed, taking a step forward.
You didn't stay on your feet for long though, as another thug sent a wave of force towards you. You fell onto your feet and gritted your teeth.
"I'd be careful outsider..." The thug holding the old man said. "I can burst more blood vessels... much more important ones. And my buddy here can easily cause a much more powerful earthquake."
You growled, seeing as you'd need to pump up your quirk to the max. So you calmed yourself and spoke out once more. A light breeze coming past you and carrying your pheromones to the men.
"The heroes you had a grudge against will be here soon... let the people go and you can fight them at full force." You urged and saw their eyes gleam for a moment.
The thugs whispered among one another for a moment, and then to your relief kicked the hostages out of their grips. The people dashed away, even the bloody old man. You sighed and sank onto your feet. Good. That was all you could-
You gasped as someone snagged you and suddenly your nose, eyes, and ears were bursting with liquid. The thug with the blood-bursting quirk chuckled and shoved you onto the concrete.
"You're right... why take hostages when all our focus should be on the annoying heroes who flock to this place!" He chuckled, taking a knife from his buddy and hovering it near your throat.
Before you could even try to use your quirk again though, several bands wrapped around the man's hand and wrist. The knife was thrown aside and you exhaled. Before you, eyes glowing red and looking pissed was Aizawa. Yaoyorozu and Kendou stood beside him, Vlad King next to the pair of girls.
You smirked, despite the blood still rushing from your face. After all... help had arrived. Now it was only a matter of you trying to not get in Vlad and Aizawa's way as they took down these petty thugs.
