An unwanted battle

Shi woke up in...someone's world. He wasn't quite sure who's. He was well aware that it was one of the girls egg worlds but he could see or hear any of them. He wandered around with his baton clutched tightly in his hand. He heard in the distance the sound of a great impact, like the ground being slammed with the force of a 1000 steel fists. Shi made haste towards the sound as quickly and swiftly as he could out of the field and into the woods.

"You are throwing off my star player!" A loud and quite ugly voice could be heard shouting. Most likely a wonder killer that was an instructor for a girls sports team.

He saw Ai and Rika throwing attacks her way. Momoe was with the girl and Nieru was taking shots from the distance. Shi waited until the instructors focus was on the opposite direction of his. When the time was right he propelled himself from a tree with his leg and slams his baton into the top of the instructors head

"Element of suprise you bitch!" He shouts while on top of her. He takes the moment to stomp on her to force her towards the ground

"There's the knight in shining armor!" Rika sarcastically shouts

"In all of his glory! Hah- Whoa!-" Shi gets cut off as the instructor launches him away.

Shi slams into the ground, the air audibly exited from his lungs. Nieru wasn't too far from him but she was still focused on the battle.

"ʷʰᵃᵗ ᵃ ʷᶦˡᵈ ˢˡᵘᵐᵇᵉʳ ᵖᵃʳᵗʸ" He manages to force out of his lungs as he gets up to get himself pulled together. He noticed Nieru on top of a ledge above him.

"You're doing great!" He yells to her before he launches himself into battle. He hits the ugly creature in the knees causing it to fall.

"Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!" He says as he lands a final blow on the face. The abomination bursts covering the area in blood. As the gang regroups they all sit down for a breather.

"You guys were great out there" Shi says panting

"You were too" Nieru says

Rika giggles to no-ones suprise

"Back at my first sleepover when I was 8 I dont remember taking on abominations in my sleep but I do remember playing video games at 3 am" he jokes

"But playing video games didn't help people did it?" Ai rhetorical asks

"You got a point there" He says before waking up. As he woke up he loudly grunted in discomfort after he felt the pain from his impact with the ground.   He went upstairs and took a cold shower. The tears from the pain mixed with the cold running water. Once he got out he went to the cabinet and took some painkillers.

As he got downstairs he saw momoe waking up

"Good morning, Momoe" he said his voice weighed down and weakened from pain

"I-is something wrong, Shi?" She asks worried

"My back just hurts from the fight, I take it everyone else is still asleep huh?" He says as he rubs his back. As he says it Nieru can be seen getting up

"Well, that's three of us up, I will have to clean the glass out of my car so I can go trade it in. Get yourselves tidied up", Shi puts on his hoodie and heads outside.

Outside his back only felt worse, It was most certainly blue at this point. He brushed all the glass out of the seat and sat in his car. The soft fabric seats with the cold metal lining the stripped interior felt oddly soothing to him. He could see activity through the window of the apartment. It felt nice to know he has people in his life now. He didn't know very much about them but he knew with how much they cared for him that he should care for them. Being with them made him feel safer, happier and filled a difficult to ignore hole in his daily life. Not having to have someone worry about you everytime you leave the house only feels nice for so long. Not having people there leaves you feeling empty and without purpose. Besides keeping yourself sustained and breathing, without having anyone there we have no purpose. As he was floating among all of his thoughts he was brought back to earth with the girls tapping on the side of the car

"Shi-kun, we need to get back" Ai says

"Ah yes, I apologize. I got lost in my thoughts" he simply states as he gets into the other car to take them back.

While on the road he wanted to make something clear to them

"If you guys need anything, and I mean anything, you can call me or text me and let me know. I'm always gonna be here". It felt nice for him to be able to say that for someone. He's always liked helping other but there weren't really other to help in his life. The girls nodded their heads to assure him they knew.

To be carried onward.....
