Strain

This will follow along with some of the plot from supergirl but it won't be correct. This is a more fast paced story so at some points it might feel rushed but I hope you enjoy!

Today was the day. We had to make the final move to National City. We had to make the move for my wife Lena. I wasn't excited about the move. I had to leave everyone I know behind.

The only reason we had to move was so Lena could take over Luthor Corp.

"Y/n let's go!" Lena yelled. "Always rushing me, I was just doing one last sweep to make sure we got everything" I said once I got to her. "Let's just go we can buy anything we forgot" she said before kissing me.

We left and made it to our new house. It was only about and hour or two of a drive.

"I know we just got here but I need to go to the office" she said once we got finished bringing everything into the house.

"Okay that's fine I'll start putting stuff away." "I'm sorry. I just have to finish up a few papers to finalize me taking over" she said before walking over to kiss me. "Lena it's fine. I'm going to try and unpack what I can and probably make dinner or something." "Okay I'll see you later." "Alright love you." "Love you" she said before walking out.

I was in the middle of cooking dinner when Lena came home.

"I thought you'd be home later" I said once I saw her. "Why, trying to sneak someone in" she joked.

"Dinner is almost done" I said after she wrapped her arms around me.

We ate and then got ready for bed.

"Remember the furniture is coming tomorrow so you have to be home to sign off on the stuff or else they won't leave it. And we need to go grocery shopping when I get home. And I think one of the tv's are coming too which you have to sign off on" Lena rambled. "I know. Don't worry. You just get everything figured out at your office and I'll take care of the stuff here" I said before she laid her head on my chest.

"And thank you for making this move with me. I know you didn't want to leave. And I know you won't admit it but I know you were upset that we had to. So thank you" she said before leaning up to kiss me. "You don't need to thank me Lena. We're married so it would kind of be dumb if you moved and I didn't. Plus maybe a fresh start is a good thing. I didn't have much back home anyway." "Yeah but you left your friends and your job just to come with me. It's a big move and I just really appreciate you coming with me" she said sincerely. "My job was shit and I only had two friends which were from my childhood. Trust me this move did not disrupt my life, if anything it made my life better" I said with a chuckle before kissing her forehead.
