I sat there quietly as he pecked on his keyboard. I found myself becoming slightly annoyed. I have so much work to do and I'm just sitting here staring at the top of his head as he looked at his computer.

He must have picked up on my annoyance because he looked up from his computer and met my blank gaze.

"As you know those men were here to discuss one of the biggest business deals we've had in a while."

"I do." I nodded.

"Well, they are holding a large benefit this weekend for their company in New York. This event will be huge and full of executives so it is very important that we make a good impression." he removed his glasses and crossed his arms.

"We?"

"Yes. WE. You will be accompanying me to assist me and represent our company." he added looking back down at his computer.

"What if I have plans this weekend?" I asked raising my eyebrow.

"Do you have plans this weekend?" he asked still looking down.

"Well...no I don't but.." I said before being interrupted.

"Well you do now. I'll have a car pick you up on Thursday morning. You tickets and accommodation are taken care of. You just have to get on the plane." he said now looking in my eyes.

"Y-yes Sir." I said slightly in shock.

"Good. I will see you Thursday. Take tomorrow off to pack and take care of your personal needs. Now if you'll excuse me I have a conference call."

"Yes sir. Thank you." I stood and walked out of his office closing the door behind me.

"Wtf just happened?"I said quietly to myself as I walked back to my desk.

I began packing my things and preparing to go home as it was the end of the day.

This impromptu trip definitely caught me by surprise but I'm glad that he is accommodating me. The last thing I need right now is to drop a load of money on a plane ticket.

As I finished grabbing my things, Mr. Waters walked out of his office. I stood up and we both caught each other's gaze.

There was an awkward silence as we just stood there. It took everything thing in me not to laugh in his face.

"Um. Have a good evening, Sir." I said smiling like an idiot.

He raised his eyebrow and smirked.

"You as well, Ms. Coleman." he nodded and walked away

Gosh. He was so awkward. But he's super type A so it's to be expected.

I grabbed my things and walked out waving at the cleaning lady Carla on the way. She was so sweet.

I took the elevator down to the car park. It was well lit yet bleak as the weather was getting colder and the nights were getting longer.

I threw my things in the passenger seat and started the car and drove home.

The ride was uneventful and thankfully the traffic wasn't bad. I pulled into my driveway and grabbed my purse and folders of reports to review.

I walked into my house. It wasn't much but it got the job done. A ratty little two bedroom house. I can't let it go as it was my mother's home. Sadly she was comatose so she's at the hospital. I go see her every other day.

A tear fell from my eye. I wiped it away and walked into my bedroom and began undressing. I took a quick shower and threw on my pajamas.

As I was about to lay down for bed, I heard my a knock at my front door. It was kinda late so I grabbed my taser.

I walked over to the window and looked out the peephole but I couldn't see their face so I walked over to the window and looked out recognizing who it was.

I sighed and opened the door.
