"We need to go now!" Kai whisper-shouts.
He practically shoves Katherine off the hotel bed to get her moving.
"Ugh did Cade already find us? It's been like 2 days since we've stayed in this Hotel." Katherine groans.
Kai is rushing to pack their clothes into a suitcase.
"Yeah, and he's burning down each building one by one to figure out which one we're in."
He can't fit all of their clothes and has to take them all out again.
"Just leave them, we're vampire's. We can just 'buy' new clothes." Katherine suggests.
He shrugs and leaves the suitcase open on the bed.
"Fine let's..."
Kai stops mid-walk, taking in a deep breath through his nose.
"Do you smell that?" He asks Katherine.
She pauses. They both say it at the same time.
"Fire."
They vamp-speed to the elevator, and Katherine quickly presses the button multiple times. Nothing.
"C'mon!"
Her frustration causes her to push the button a little to hard with her vampire strength and it breaks.
"Katherine! Are you kidding me?!"
"Oops."
"Whatever let's just take the stairs." Kai suggests.
They vamp-speed through the door of the stairs and are stopped by the fire after a few flights. The fire starts rising fast and forces them back up to the top floor.
"Quick. To the roof!" Katherine shouts.
At the top of the roof they look down at the chaos below that Cade caused. Or was it their fault? Cars and buses knocked on their sides, people running and screaming frantically as they watched their homes burn down.
That's when they saw him. Cade. Strutting down the street with hands of fire and an army of devils following closely behind.
"What do we do?!" Katherine exclaims.
"Jump."
