Sarah POV:

It took us a few days to get back to a somewhat normal. We weren't hiding how we felt with each other anymore at all, if we felt sad we were there for each other. I would break down in tears randomly which was caused by a mixture of things. Like seeing Jace's baby things and thinking about how we could have been expecting again but we never got that chance, and just my hormones being out of whack. But thankfully they were calming back down again to what was normal for me. But I would get phantom pains in my stomach on and off, but they will go away with time.

But today was one of them days I just wanted to be left alone, but I was pushing myself to be there for Chase because I know he still needed it. Randomly he'd come up behind me and just cling to me with his arms tight around my abdomen, and his face in my neck or hair. Right now I had just finished cleaning up from lunch as Chase was laying down Jace for his afternoon nap. But as I place the leftovers in the fridge a phantom pain hits causing me to freeze and a hand snap to my lower stomach. I slowly breath through my nose as I shut the fridge door and lean against my hip on the counter next to me. I hear Chase coming down the stairs and I try and straighten out but he rounded the corner and saw me in pain making him run to me and pull me into his arms to hold me. I lean into him as it slowly passes, and once it's gone I sigh and wrap my arms around his waist and nussle my face into his collarbone. He just gently rubs my back soothingly as he leaves butterfly kisses all over the top of my head. I pull back just a bit to see his face and see the worry still there making me smile gently and softly bring my hands up to his face and say,

"I'm ok, it was just a phantom pain. Nothing to worry about I promise love."

He sighs and leans his face into my left hand and mumbles,

"There is always something to worry about when I love someone as much as I love you. I'm always going to worry about you because I love you."

I lean up as I peck his lips lovingly and mutter against them,

"And I get that I do, I feel the same way about you. But you just can't let it consume you, that isn't healthy ok? But for now I think we should follow Jace and go take a nap because I'm exhausted."

He chuckles and nods as he gives me a sweet kiss before pulling away and grabbing my hand to lead me to our bed. I stepped in behind and pulled my hand from his making his look at me in question as I smile and head to the bathroom. When I came out he was laying on his back with his right hand behind his head as he flipped through channels on our tv. I pad over to him, slip off my glasses and sit them on my nightstand  and crawl under the covers and under his left arm. I sigh as I wiggle as close as I could get and wrap my arms around his chest and throw my left leg over his waist. My eyes close as I felt his hand start rubbing up and down my spine making me almost purr in pleasure. As I drifted off to sleep I couldn't help but hope everything will be smooth from here on out to our wedding in less than 2 months, and beyond that.

Chase POV:

I continue to rub her back even as her breathing evens out and she falls asleep. I look down at her and feel grateful, so incredibly grateful that I still have this beautiful woman by my side. After everything we had been through, she still came out even more wiser beyond her years then before and stronger then ever. My eyes go from her face and drift down to her stomach and feel utter sadness. I know that nothing will come to it but I couldn't help but think what if? What if our fight never happened? What if she found out normally? What if we were going to have another beautiful child? My eyes start to sting as I squeezed my eyes closed and take a deep breath. I pulled her even closer to me and let out a shaky breath, opening my eyes and seeing her completely peaceful making me smile. I reach up and run my hand through her soft hair and watch it lay in soft waves next to her on the bed. She may not see it the way I do but with the sun hitting her as she laid there she truly looked like she was glowing, and it made her look like a angel.
