"I don't think you want to go in there." A short black women said
"Why? What's going on" Catra asked
"A bunch of homophobic people were in the Coffee shop and 2 people went inside I guess talking about the LGBTQ+ community and they went off."
"Ok well those 2 people that walked in there are my Best Friends" Adora spoke up "so please let us by."
The women looked in the shop then back at Adora and Catra "uhhh...fine, just be careful."
She went to the side and let them in.
When they walked inside a bell went off and everyone turned to look at them.
Adora and Catra were still holding hands and one of the people walked up to them
"Huh looks like some more faggots joined us" a tall light skinned man stood with he's arm crossed.
"Excuse me?" Catra let go of Adora's hand and walked up to the man
Some more people stepped up but the man waved them off
"Catra n-"
"Adora go to Bow and Glimmer"
"But Ca-"
"Adora."
Adora stared at Catra for a few before walking away
"Guys what happened?"
"We just came in here to get Coffee then they just started yelling out slurs" glimmer said looking at the group of boys, then she turned to look at Adora. Her face was red and her eyebrows were furrowed.
Catra was still in front of the man
"You heard what I said"
"You know what fuck you."
"Hm....ok" the man walked closer to Catra and spit on her.
Everyone gasped. Catra wiped the spit of her face and looked down with her fist curled up
"What you gon do....dyke."
And that was it, Catra punched the dude in the stomach and then elbowed him in the nuts.
The dude groaned
"That's what I did"
The boys started getting closer to her but Adora got in front of them and said "I don't think you want to mess with her....or me" and gave them a death stare and they backed up. Catra started to walk away but then turned around, bent over to meet the guy, got in he's face and spit on him
"Oh and that."
She went over to Adora who was grinning
"That's my girlfriend!"
Catra laughed and turned to the group. She stuck up both her middle fingers and grabbed Adora's hands
"Guys c'mon, let's enjoy the parade" Then the squad walked out with everyone cheering
"So all I had to do was punch the guy and that was it?" Glimmer asked
"Yeah, pretty much" Catra replied
"Ugh"
After all that happened, they enjoyed the parade, they got food and met some other people.
At home
"Now i'm bored, let's watch a movie!" Bow spoke
"Sure, sounds nice after this tiring day." Glimmer added
"OoOOo let's watch The prom!" Bows voice cracked a little and everyone started laughing
"Sure crop top"
"This is one of the gayest movies" Adora said scooting closer to Catra
"Sure is" Catra looked into Adora's eyes, when they started leaning in to each other, Glimmer let out a loud cough
"Still here *cough*" Both Adora and Catra blushed
"Wh-whatever! Just turn on the movie."
And she did just that.
For the rest of the night they watched the prom and sung every single song.....
