Turn of Events - Josh Dunkley

Chapter 18

(Mad's POV)

I open my eyes and I remember what happened from the day prior!

Josh is still fast asleep, so I grab my phone off the bed side table and check what messages I have!

Sam : Hey Mad's, are you able to cover tomorrow morning for Abs at 9am, let me know?

Liv : Staying over at Marcus's, meet you at the apartment!

Lara : Hey, I've left for training already, but I was wondering when you are teaching next

I response back to all of the messages and of course my heart flutters a bit when I read's Liv's messages!

But before I can check any of the other messages I have, Josh rolls over and slowly opens his eyes 

"Morning gorgeous" Josh says

This was the first time I've heard Josh's morning voice and boy was it amazing, it was so calming and it made me just want to snuggle into him and fall back asleep, but that isnt gonna happen. 

"Morning" I say back to him 

"How did you sleep" he asks me 

"The best I have in a while" I tell him 

"Well, maybe we need to sleep together more often" he says 

"Don't get ahead of yourself Dunkley" I reply

"I can say that now that you are my girlfriend" he says and I punch him slightly 

"Oh you wanna go there" Josh says and he starts tickling me and I can't contain my laughter 

I could definitely get use to this. Serotonin is just realised through may body when I start to tickle Josh back and I find a sweet spot!

"Would you shut up you two" Kyle says as he comes into Josh's room 

"When did you get home" Josh asks as he sits up in the bench

"Like 20 minutes ago, you should really check the news, what ever happened last night made it onto the media" Kyza says and he walks out of Josh's room

"What" I say and Josh picks his phone up and opens 7news 

"Daniel Rioli, Morgan Stella, Josh Dunkley and his new girl had a heated agruement last night" 

"This is what he means" Josh says as he shows me his phone and I read the headline 

"Are you fucking kidding me" I say 

"Don't worry, I'll get my manager to figure this all out, you dont deserve it" Josh says as he gives me a kiss on the head 

Josh continues to read what the article says and it basically explains everything that happened, even quoting what happened, which takes me back a bit. 

I've been had an article written about me, but I guess that is what is going to happen now that I am dating him.

I've seen how the media treats Mia Fevola with how she is now dating Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and I can hope is that, that doesn't happen to me because I honestly don't know how Mis deals with it. 

But hey, I might bet to ask her soon with Josh and Marra now that they are playing for the same team!

"You okay" Josh asks me as we finish reading the article

"Yeah, I guess I'm just taken back bu the article because it's obviously never happened to me before" I explain to him 

"Well, I'm here if you ever need me, but you just need to know that this will continue to happen given my job" Josh says 

"Yeah, I knew that it would happen but I definitely didn't think it would happen this quickly" I tell him 

"Well why don't we go out for breakfast and try to take your mind off it" Josh suggest 

"I do like the sound of that" I say 

We both get to of bed and I head into the bathroom to change back into my own clothes, and just chuck some water on my face to wake me up a bit more. 

Not long after we say goodbye to Kyle and we drive to cafe because it is way to cold to walk.

Breakfast was absolutely lovely and of course Josh once again insisted on paying but thankfully he agreed that we would spilt the bill!

"Back to yours" Josh asks as we hop in the car 

"Yeah if you don't mind" I say 

"Assuming you need to get back to Liv" Josh says 

"Yeah, she would be going crazy not being able to rant to me about her night with Bont" I say

"Well, Bont has already messaged me about coming over so I assume they both had a good night" Josh explains 

"That makes me very happy" I say 

"And that doesn't surprise me" Josh says back 

We continue to catch up on the drive back to my place.

All I can really think boy if that I'm glad that Josh didn't get recognised at breakfast because I dont know what I would do if there was photos of us...

"Thank you" I say as I unbuckle my seatbelt, but I feel Josh put his hand on my leg and I turn back around and his lips meet mine 

Fucking hell, I was not expecting this, but that doesn't stop me from kissing him back. 

"What was that for" I ask him and I pull away

"I wanted to kiss my girlfriend" Josh says and my heart melts "Did you like" he asks 

"I liked it very much" I say to him and a smirk forms on Joshua's face

"Well I'm glad because you better get use to it" Josh says 

"I better get going, knowing liv she is already tracking me and knows that I'm here" I explain to him 

"Yeah no worries, see you soon" Josh says 

"Yes definitely, maybe you guys could come over for dinner one day, possibly with Marcus" I suggest 

"Would love it" Josh says and I smile back to him and jump out of the car, wave goodbye and head to the apartment

"Finally you are fucking home" Liv says as soon as I open the apartment door

"Sorry, Josh wanted to take me out for breakfast after what happened in the media last night" I tell her 

"Aw yeah, I read that, did that actually happen, like word for word" Liv asks me and I nod "When I see that bitch, I'm so going to smash her face in, who the fuck does she think he is" she continues on 

"That's you, but you need to tell me about your night missy" I say and she literally just smiles and pats the couch and I come and join her

"So...." she says

Little bit of a cliff hanger but you can probably guess what will happen

How good was it to have Dunks back playing!!
