Buying a gift for Irina wasn't easy.
Irina always complained that it was more difficult shopping for Karasuma, but that was because he didn't want anything. He was fine having his birthday be another ordinary day.
However, after the Reaper incident, he knew better than to treat Irina's birthday in the same manner.
So he took his time getting her something. A dress, a cute accessory, maybe a novel... his tastes didn't align with Irina's, but he tried his best.
Karasuma never had to think twice about the second gift he would always give her, though.
