Helena Zabini was in desperate need of something new. The life of a wealthy Pureblood Slytherin had grown tiring to the point where she'd rather bash her head through a wall than attend a predictable Christmas ball the Blacks were hosting. But the latter happened, as it always did. Because the expected always happened.

She should have been dreading that than wandering back to the former. The days she lived became routine—awaking for classes, walking the same hallways in Hogwarts, talking to the same people, sitting in the same seats in the same class. Nothing changed. Nothing changed until a waltz at a Christmas ball Helena had tried everything to escape from.

But that Christmas ball had everything Helena could ever need—a getaway car. More specifically, Bellatrix Black, the heiress to all the riches her family vault had. It was Helena's gateway to walking down a new path, seeing new things, and doing whatever the hell they both wanted. Not what their parents said or the Dark Lord. At least she thought so.

The real shame, the truest of tragedies for Helena Zabini, is that she jumped into a getaway car that'd drive a road without looking back. She had forever exiled herself into falling for Bellatrix Black, whose lips and hands were stained with blood that wasn't her own.

Didn't they know that nothing good starts in a getaway car?

━DESCRIPTION: nothing good starts in a getaway car

— this is the first plot i'm releasing instead of the original first plot because i NEED this one taken before i take it for myself 😭

— but hellooooo!! this synopsis was absolute garbage, so allow me to explain. helena is a very spontaneous person, who gets bored very easily. she is set off to marry somebody (i imagine rabastan lestrange) and really doesn't want to. but, it all starts at a christmas party where helena really meets bellatrix. bellatrix is just interested because she's with the death eaters (probably an absolute rookie) and helena seems like the type of person to join just to join. sooo bellatrix and helena are in the leagues together after at least two conversations and yeeeah

— very much a strangers to allies to fuckbuddies to lovers fic. this doesn't need to be a slowburn! i see this going at a slightly faster pace than most fics (like they probably fuck in the beginning of their seventh year, honestly)

— helena is probably the biggest snake ever. she doesn't really care who she hurts, as long as she wins and she's alright in the end

— helena is a slytherin, taller than bellatrix, and lowkey bonkers 😁

— knife fight scenes! they're both very emotional people, helena tends to close off her feelings, and they probably pull out knives more than they do wands

— helena and bellatrix are very toxic in the beginning, but it's bellatrix who falls for helena first

— helena literally fell for bellatrix only because of the bomb seggs, not marrying rabastan, getting something to do, and not leading a boring life. she literally calls bellatrix her "getaway car" at one point 🤭

— yeah, they kill for each other

— helena aides bellatrix in a bunch of stuff voldemort has them do (this is all up to you!!) and they normally bicker waaay too much

— the ending is not a good one!! helena eventually gets bored of helping bellatrix and not taking charge all the time for tasks. the first wizarding war is about to end, and the death eaters are losing.

in a last ditch effort to save her own skin (even though she's in a slightly torrid affair with bellatrix), helena tells dumbledore and the order everything she knows about the death eaters in exchange for immunity in court.

of course, bellatrix finds out and loses it. helena keeps it pretty lowkey but bellatrix confronts her and let's just say one person made it out alive 😍😍 and it isn't miss zabini
