Out of Time (Loki x Reader)

Chapter 26: Life

"You just had to accept didn't you."

"Yes, we did, come on, it'll be good for us!" I grabbed his hand and pulled him from his very comfortable bed and he groaned. I dragged him out into the lounge room and plopped him down on the couch.

"We were just talking about a vacation, we're all thinking about leaving for a few days, just to get out of the tower." Bruce had said now talking to Loki and I.

"I was thinking about maybe going back to Asgard, to meet with Mother, you two should come with." Thor shouted from the kitchen. I looked over to Loki and smiled. He rolled his eyes at me and groaned.

"Yes we will come with Brother." Now throwing his head back and sighing at me getting excited.

"Good, we will leave in a few days if that's okay with you." Thor asked shooting Loki and I a look and I nodded, Thor and I both smiled at each other.

Tony suggested we all have a movie night, even Pepper joined us. Loki and I curled up on the one seater, while the others sat together on the other three couches.

We all decided on watching Frozen, and Frozen 2, and I made my way to the kitchen to prepare dinner for everyone and Wanda helped me. We made spaghetti with garlic bread, which everyone was thankful for. I headed over to hand everyone a plate and a good amount of food.

"Your cooking is always the best."
Bucky said giving me a thumbs up, and thanking Wanda and I for another great dinner. Her and I made our way back to the couches and began to eat as well. Just enjoying the company of the others.

"Thank you Darling." Loki said while he kissed my hand and took his plate, letting me sit back down, I smiled and curled up on his chest to eat. Eventually everyone was done eating, stacking their plates that I would get to tomorrow morning when I got up.

I curled up still sitting with Loki and he was stroking my head and talking with Tony, and the others. He started to grow quite fond of them, and they seemed to warm up to him as well.

Life was good. This was all we ever wanted. We had no intentions or plans for the next day, just to enjoy the time we all had with one another.

However, after a little while I started to get a little tired, but still trying to stay awake.

"It's okay Darling, get some sleep, I'll be right here." He said and smiled warmly.
I nodded and smiled giving him a quick peck on the nose and he smiled at me doing so. I rested my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around him. Soon enough I was asleep.

Loki's POV.

"You know, you two truly make me wonder what it feels like to have someone who loves me for me." Clint had spoken, now a little softer so he wouldn't wake her.

"She's an odd one to say the least." Thor smiled and looked over at me.

"Quite the opposite Brother." I looked down at her, her lips curled the slightest when she slept. She is absolutely stunning.

"It makes me happy to see her like this." Wanda spoke softly. Wanda had really become a sisterly figure to Y/N.

She had walked over to us, slowly petting her head and smiling down at her.

"She is pretty happy isn't she..." I couldn't help but notice all of the eyes on me now. I was gushing again. Although I quickly retreated my smile, they didn't seem to mind my affection.

Soon everyone left for bed and it was just Thor and I, along with a sleeping Y/N.
I removed my gaze from her and looked over at Thor.

"Y/N really wants to go back to Asgard." I spoke softly.

"Why's that Brother?" He asked me.

"The people I guess." I lied. I knew why but I couldn't get into that until after his response.

"But the people reside in Norway now, there isn't but a mere few along with Mother." He said now a little more confused.

"Thor-" I sighed looking for the words.

"Do you see yourself as King of Asgard anymore?" I croaked.

"Well, in a way, but my life doesn't belong on Asgard anymore. It's here, and Norway." He said looking at me, he knew what I was going to ask before I even asked. He sighed and spoke once more.

"Brother, the last time you were king, you banished father. You almost-" he didn't need to finish.

"I know...I just...she thinks we could make the people happy there Thor, and I can't help it and see her unhappy-"

"I agree with her."

"I beg your pardon?"

"I agree with her. Loki, believe it or not, I know you've changed. You wouldn't do anything stupid. Even as King. Not as long as Y/N was on the throne as well."

That was new...usually he'd be shouting at me and telling me that I was to never have authority over anyone. But that's not how I saw it anymore. I may be the God of Mischief, but after meeting Y/N, I only have two goals in mind. Thriving. And having a life, with her.

"Are you- do you really think so?" I asked now cocking my head to the left, asking for an answer.

"We can talk to Mother when we cross that bridge. I'm sure she will be thrilled about us getting along." He smiled at me and waved me off as he went to go to bed.

Could it be possible? Her and I, running a kingdom? I, a king and her my Queen?

It was all such an absurd thought.

Yet, I was thrilled to have such a heart to heart with my brother. A few months ago he would have thrown me out of a window.

Nonetheless it was time for bed. I picked up Y/N and made my way through the lounge area to my room.

I carefully laid her down and then sat next to her, I was deep in my thoughts before she shifted and reached to grab me again.

She pulled me to lay with her and she put her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and couldn't help but smile at the life we had been building.

A home we had been creating.
