"Well this is it" Maki said dusting herself off. Himiko was on her knees, scavenging through the rubble in tears until she found a picture; Tenko's picture lay there, a large hot-pink cross taunting her in defeat. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she gave a weak smile. I slowly walked towards her and bended down next to her, and put a hand on her shoulder. I felt her jump in shock but eventually she gave in. She cried, cried and cried, I patted her crimson hair until a wave of shock entered my body
"Her." I muttered
Maki turned around while a small tear seeped out her eye.
"Kaede"I instantly started scanning through the rubble, trying to find at least a piece of her. I searched and searched to only find her death post. I stood up as tears came crashing down my face. I stomped the ground in shame
This is all my fault.
"IF ONLY I HAD SEARCHED MORE SHE WOULD STILL BE HERE! " I kick her portrait and collapsed on the ground
Maki stared at me in shock and Himiko crawled away from me. Slowly, Maki stumbled towards me and put her and on my shoulder. She bended down and put her hand on mine and placed something in the middle of my palm.

kaede's hairclip
Before I could start crying again Maki immediately slapped my face. She grabbed my cheeks squeezing them tightly while Himiko just stared in awe.
"As sad as it is we get to see them again, " Maki stared seriously "Kaede would hate to see you like this, same goes for you Himiko. " she said quickly darting her head.
In response, Himiko immediately stood up and walked to her and helped me stand up. We interlock arms and gaze at the bright light ahead of us. We look at each other and count down from three.

I started thinking about Kaede.
Two.
I felt the warmth of her hands as I bent my knees.
One.
I smiled and we all charged towards the blinding lights.
