Chapter 13: Past Trauma

"I don't understand you've seen this before?" Robin asked

"Well not exactly" Steve said

"All you need to know is that it's bad, really bad" Daphne added

"End of the human race as we know it, kind of bad" Dustin explained

"And you know about this how?" Robin asked

Before they could answer, Erica said something

"Um, Steve? Where's your Russian friend?" Erica asked

They all looked towards the direction there was nothing but a pool of blood, that's when the alarms started blaring, Steve opened the door then looked at everyone else

"Go!" He shouted

They went back to the room they were in before and run out where the machine was, the scientists looked at them

"Go! Go!" Daphne said

Daphne opened another door, running down the stairs only to end up closer to the machine, she took a left, shoving a man away with her powers out of the way then wiping her nose bleed, then realized she led them to the front of it. The Russians noticed her abilities and one of them spotted her number.

"This way!" Steve yelled

He pushed someone out of the way, they went into a room which wasn't an exit.

"Help!" Steve yelled

Robin went to help him with the door, Daphne was covering her ears from the alarms since they reminded her of the lab.

"Here come on!" Erica shouted

Daphne felt four big hands grab her, that's when she realized she wasn't even with Steve and the others, she had stayed outside the room.

"Wait!" Dustin yelled

"What?!" Robin asked

"Where's Daphne?!" Steve panicked

Erica and Dustin had hid in the vents while Robin and Steve were taken away to who knows where, Dustin got a glimpse of Daphne in the arms on the Russians.

"STEVE! ROBIN! DUSTIN! HELP ME!" Daphne screamed

She was being dragged to a separate room, Dustin's blood boiled seeing how Daphne was being dragged. First they had to save the other two then Daphne. The Russians took Daphne to the room where the gate was.

"You will open it, okay?" The man asked

Daphne didn't know how to, she was scared and didn't want to admit she didn't know to, she feared for her life. Daphne stepped forward and concentrated on the wall, the lights flickered a bit yet nothing happened, she looked back at the men who seemed angry, other disappointed. She heard the men say something in Russian that caused the men to smirk and look at her, she was taken to a room. They sat her on a wooden chair and tied her wrists and ankles to the ends of it. She started crying as they yelled at her telling her that she should control her powers better.

"Have you ever felt like an outsider? Like if you didn't belong somewhere?" Will asked

Daphne nodded

"Ever since last year, everyone has been babying me when I'm fourteen, I can take care of myself" Will ranted

The two were outside in castle byers.

"When you were there, were you scared?" Daphne asked

"Very, I got over it a bit by just taking deep breaths and I tried my best to overcome it" Will answered

"How will I know if I'm ever scared or afraid?" Daphne questioned

"It's kinda when you feel intimidated like when they had you in the lab. You were scared because you thought you would die if you didn't do what they said" Will explained

"You know, you really are Will the Wise" Daphne smiled
"Yeah, you're the first to say it. Whatever happens just know you can trust me and I'll always be there for you" Will smiled
Daphne screamed as the men pinched her, she screamed even more causing them to slap her.
"You will open that!" A man snapped
"I don't know how!" Daphne screamed
"Then you will learn! The hard way!" He replied
A man yanked her hair to make her look up, she saw a demogorgan, they were about to release it.

"You're going to kill it" The man said

They released Daphne from the chair and she stood up slowly walking towards the creature, she glared at it.

"Die" Daphne said

Daphne threw it against the wall in the cage and suffocated it. It fell stone cold dead on the floor. Daphne turned around to face the Russians, her eyes were glowing green instead of brown.

"Die!" Daphne yelled

She threw all the men across the room knocking them out, she ran to the door and kicked it open. Daphne looked around in the hallways frantically and was on her way to reunite with the other four.
